With the December update, 5G/VoLTE now works without root. It took a while, but now I think the device is mature for the Greek market. I finally returned to the factory version and I have no complaints.

After installing the latest Android version 14, I noticed a much better battery life and the phone no longer overheats. Additionally, in the upcoming December update (QPR1), it seems that 5G/Volte will work with all providers (Cosmote/Vodafone/Nova) without the need for root. Anyone who installs the Android 14 QPR1 Beta 2 version can confirm this. For the rest, a little patience and it seems that the issue will be resolved, albeit with a significant delay.

For those for whom VoWifi does not work after the March update, you can have VoWiFi with Cosmote using the March version with root. Just create a new APN with the following settings:

No official solution so far. I rooted the device and everything works fine now (5G + Volte). If the issue is ever resolved, I will switch back to the official ROM.

The solution I have found so far, which seems to work, is to completely disable WiFi calling/VoLTE from Cosmote (from the provider itself). I also disabled the "Adaptive connectivity" option. Things are definitely better than before, but not perfect. I hope the December update will solve these issues.

The only solution so far is to switch the connection to 3G (thus 2G). This way, calls work but you don't have internet. There has been no other update yet.

For the past 2 days, I have been experiencing issues with calls. I receive calls and it shows that I am talking, but I can't hear anything. I read that many others abroad are also having call issues, so I am waiting to see if there will be any updates.

I bought the phone from Google UK for £849 and I have had it for about 1 week. Here are my observations, which are more or less known:
1. In terms of photography, I don't know how much better it can get. I am amazed by the quality and the features that the new AI has brought for improvement and editing.
2. The battery easily lasts a day with heavy usage.
3. It is not suitable for heavy gaming.
4. The screen is excellent (I like it more than the screen of the S20+ I had).
5. 5G/Volte don't work, but I have no issues with the LTE signal and speed.
6. The fingerprint sensor works perfectly - no complaints.
7. The Samsung Galaxy Watch works flawlessly (+ the buds).
Overall, from what I have understood, you don't buy it for the hardware but for its operating system, and so far it justifies my choice.
I would definitely buy it again and I would recommend it along with the regular Pixel 7 to those who want to switch from Samsung/Xiaomi, etc.
Something that many have asked me is if I would choose the smaller version instead of the Pro. The only reason to get the Pro is if you care about zoom and a larger screen. Absolutely no other reason. Whether it's worth the price difference... That's another story. I didn't want a smaller screen, so I chose the Pro. Otherwise, they are exactly the same phones.
On a hardware level, you can find much better devices, that's for sure. But I don't think anyone buys this device with that criterion.
* There are some bugs here and there, but I'm sure they will be fixed in the coming months. Nothing significant that bothers me so far.
** The photo unblur feature is incredible, especially for old scanned photos. I don't know what the reviews say, but old family photos became new. Even those that were out of focus, not just blurry.
*** In the device's network settings, there is an unlocked option for 5G or LTE or 3G network, which strengthens my suspicion that it's the provider's fault that we don't have 5G, not Google.
I have had this device for about 4 months and I would like to share my opinion after my experience with other Samsung, Xiaomi, and Apple devices. I will not go into detail about the positive features, as they are already known, such as the camera, the screen, the sound, the speed, etc. Instead, I will focus on the disadvantages that, if I had known from the beginning, I would have chosen a different device.
Unfortunately, I did not have time to do thorough market research.
Battery: The battery, with a full charge in the morning, lasts about 3-4 hours with continuous screen usage and basic use of social apps, email, etc. If I also use the camera during the day, the battery life decreases even more. I had not experienced my device shutting down due to battery in many years, and it happened now with the Pixel.
Charging: Although it supports fast charging, the charging is not as fast as it could be for a device of this category. It takes about 2 hours to charge from 5% to 100%, while if you have used other devices like Xiaomi that support super-fast charging, you will be very disappointed with this aspect. Although I understand that slower charging can help with battery life in the long run, I would prefer a better user experience during the years, even if the battery drains faster later on.
Signal and calls (the "cherry on top"): All the previous disadvantages may not have bothered me as much, but the signal and calls greatly disappointed me. Immediately after purchasing the device, I would miss 6 out of 10 calls, and the message to the caller would say that it was turned off without informing me about those calls (COSMOTE). The VOLTE service did not work from the beginning, which is the service that allows simultaneous use of the phone and the internet when you are not connected to Wi-Fi, something that I consider very useful. Additionally, the VOWIFI service does not work, so I cannot receive calls via Wi-Fi when the signal is weak. All these problems required prior research and the use of tools like Shizuku and IMS to resolve, except for the 5G support that is not available yet. However, the average user cannot dedicate time to address these issues, and they will not be able to adjust it every time there is an update from scratch. (Note: For users experiencing issues with VOLTE, even if they have installed Shizuku, they should know that it is an issue with the APN and they need to add another one, information that can be found in various social groups).
So, we have the following problems: battery, charging, calls, and signal, and for all these negatives, you have to pay €868. Quite expensive!
(The camera is excellent, but do not expect the same for videos. Anyway, you know that when you buy an Android, you cannot have everything perfect, not that Apple is okay in everything, but it definitely has better video quality.)
Although it is almost 2 years old, it is still an excellent device, 5G now works properly, it is fast with amazing screen and cameras. The telephoto lens gives new capabilities and the zoom is amazing. I don't think there is a device on the market with its features for less than 600€
In 2024, this phone is simply the best for the money available (under 600 euros)! I am one of the "lucky" ones who recently bought it and it has now solved its previous issues and 5g as well as VoLTE work perfectly. The only feature that is still not offered in Greece is WiFi calling (unless the device is rooted).
Otherwise, the phone is truly amazing! Tremendous 2k screen with adaptive refresh rate 120 Hz, powerful, clear and full sound, always fast and everywhere, stock android love, very satisfactory battery, noticeably lighter compared to other flagship phones and of course cameras beyond criticism!
The "cons" of the phone for those interested are initially the unofficial support in Greece, the not so customizable launcher, the relatively slow charging, the absence of a 3.5mm headphone jack, and its small storage space. Personally, because I work with cloud and send everything there, the capacity did not interest me. Also, detailed customization (icons, etc.) does not bother me (and besides, anyone who wants can download a launcher from the play store) and I believe that slower charging is better, as many say, as it contributes to a longer battery life. As for wired headphones, because I have a pair of JBL headphones whose sound I love, I bought a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter for 3.5 euros and the issue was solved.
Furthermore, the phone competes with devices that cost twice as much or more! It has many smart features and settings to make your daily use even easier and more enjoyable and can be customized to your needs. I did not encounter any problems with connectivity (Bluetooth, WiFi, NFC, etc.), nor with signal, calls, etc. The battery easily lasts over a day with relatively intense use.
And something that I noticed and impressed me about how "smart" the phone is: I set an alarm for 07:45 in the morning, I plug in the phone to charge at 00:30 at night and it tells me that it will perform a gradual slow charge, which will be completed at 07:45 in the morning, in order to contribute to the battery life!! (of course, this is an option that you can choose not to accept)
Now, regarding the cameras, as a professional photographer, I am truly impressed by the performance of this phone in both photos and videos, as well as the editing tools it offers in combination with AI! And I repeat, all this for less than 600 euros, at a time when devices with similar capabilities have at least double the price!
From me, 5 stars undoubtedly and really, if someone is not bothered by the negatives I mentioned or does not have a desire for a specific phone brand, they should get it without fear!

As the owner of this phone since April 2023 and coming from an iPhone, I have to say that the phone is truly amazing!! Incredibly fast, it doesn't lag at all, it has many more and better apps compared to the iPhone, an amazing camera, very good build quality, a very bright screen with excellent clarity, and much better voice typing compared to the iPhone. The only negative is its battery, which lasts at most 1 to 1.5 days with moderate use.
Of course, with its Google charger, it charges in 30 minutes.
A huge drawback of Google was the lack of support for 5G/WiFi Calling in Greece.
However, with the latest update in December 2023, 5G was restored and it works perfectly!
I haven't found out yet how to activate WiFi Calling.
Maybe that will be resolved later on.
Anyway, it's an amazing phone and I am very satisfied!
Excellent mobile phone, photos of exceptional quality, I got it for my wife to take pictures and I'm impressed. With the Note 10 that I have, I can't compete with its photo quality. And overall, it's flawless
One of the most annoying features of the phone is that after about 10 minutes, it starts to have interference during calls and sometimes I have to talk through an application. I never had this problem with a previous smartphone. Also, sometimes some apps would freeze, specifically certain games. Additionally, it is very frustrating to try to answer a call and find the phone in message mode after an hour. Pathetic! I don't think this happens with any other smartphone. I give it 2 stars only for the camera
After 2 months of use, in a few words: the best mobile phone I've had so far. Amazing photos, top-notch screen with a unique "velvety" touch sensation, fast in all functions, very good sound and excellent call quality. The only drawback is the slow charging, but I don't deduct a star for that.

The mobile is bulky, one of the largest sizes you can find on the market. It is somewhat difficult to handle with one hand, it gets tiring after a while, often requiring the use of both hands.

The photos are very good, specifically the photos from the main camera. The photos from the ultra-wide lens and the zoom lens are good in good lighting conditions, but the quality noticeably drops at night, it is evident that the lenses do not have sensors that can capture enough light. The front camera takes satisfactory photos, but nothing amazing. The video has improved compared to previous models, it is satisfactory, but unfortunately, when the main lens is not used, the quality noticeably decreases. Google follows the same strategy with this model as it did with previous ones: average hardware with the software trying to improve the mediocre results of the hardware.

The call quality is very good. The speaker is so loud that most of the time the volume is not comfortable at the highest level and you have to lower it. Also, the issue with dropped calls seems to have been fixed with the updates.

Overall, it is a device that can be appreciated more by power users and Pixel fanboys. It is not bad, but for the average user, a Samsung device that offers a more comprehensive package of experience would probably be more suitable.
The mobile phone is nice and fast, the only problem is that because it is not supported in Greece by Google, various basic functionalities do not work, such as 5G, VoLTE, and VoWiFi. If someone deals with it, they can fix it with root, but it is not the best solution.
3 stars because I encountered 2 defective models, back to back, with the screen displaying marks from inside the glass (empty air, moisture, or something similar) within 1-2 months of use. It is impossible for me to trust the manufacturing quality of this specific model, so I am moving on to another phone.
It still has the best camera and the best software you will find for this price range, but the battery is relatively disappointing.
For those from Cyprus who are interested, simply 5G does not work in Cyprus, and this is due to the lack of support from Google.
It has problems with calls, such as both the pixel6 and now in the first summer, if you use it for 5 minutes it has overheating issues.
I am very satisfied with my phone after 2 months of daily use. The only thing I didn't know when I got it and learned later is that the 5G protocol is not available in Greece. Other than that, it works great, has a very good screen, and I have no complaints about its functionality. Maybe it could have been a little cheaper. For example, the search bar doesn't go away from the home screen no matter what!
5G is finally here! Another problem that is persistent, is the missed calls. around one in every three calls doesn't come to the phone. Rather, it appears as a message for a missed call due to network problems. But it is not a network problem, as it happens everywhere, even with 5G

The phone is the epitome of an excellent Android experience. It's like Apple, but on Android.
Important note: after an update, any issues with calls have been resolved.
Photos are unbeatable, as a whole, you'll never have an ugly click, and that's important.
The x5 zoom is much more convenient than the x2, for example, on other devices. The screen and colors are very good.
I never had an issue with the software or any reboots.
If you're in the Google ecosystem or plan to enter it, don't think twice.
On the negative side, I would put the battery where it still needs work, of course, due to my work, I make excessive use of the phone, so for normal conventional use, I have no opinion.
To put things bluntly, if you want to use your phone correctly, it requires root access. Otherwise, when you're not connected to wifi and using data, you won't receive calls. The process requires a PC, it's not terribly difficult, but someone unfamiliar with it may struggle. If you don't use data at all, you may not have an issue. I had LTE with Cosmote without root.
As for performance:
*It takes perfect photos (not just because the cameras are good, but also because of the operating system).
*It's fast (not as fast as an iPhone 14 or Galaxy S23).
*Quality construction, but it's sensitive. The aluminum frame around the cameras scratches easily. Definitely get a case. I got the Nillkin case that covers the cameras completely with a door.
The overall feeling of the device on the first day was mediocre (due to the signal issue), but day by day, I fall in love with it as it adapts to me like a glove. And that's the essence of it, it's a different phone, not for games and benchmarks.
So far, the phone seems exceptional, fast, and with outstanding cameras as stated in all the reviews. The only thing that concerns me is the reports about the glass covers (back camera cover) that seem to shatter on their own (contraction-expansion with aluminum?) and that Google does not seem to recognize - at least not yet - as a manufacturing issue and therefore repairable within the warranty... Especially for us who are in a country that is not officially covered by Google...
The phone is UN-BE-LIEV-ABLE. Pixel with eyes closed now. Coming from Xiaomi, the difference between the two is day and night. I won't even talk about the specs numbers (how many GHz processor, how many MP camera, etc.) because they don't matter anymore. What matters is how well the software works with the hardware, and Google is going against Apple in this.

Before I write anything, I just want to warn that because Greece is not an "official" country that supports the Pixel, there are some basic losses like Wifi calling, VoLTE, also I don't know what's going on with the warranty. There are also some optional goodies missing like Call screening, Hold for me, etc. For me, none of these were dealbreakers and the phone is already fantastic without them.
First of all, it is made of premium materials and it shows. It is clear visually that it is a flagship. However, you must definitely get a case for 2 reasons. Firstly, because it is made of glass, which means it collects fingerprints and slips incredibly. Secondly, because the camera bar is very susceptible to scratches. There is no space for an SD card, a second SIM, or a headphone jack. Unfortunately, this is the norm, but there are solutions (extra space in the cloud, the phone supports eSIM, and there are wireless headphones). Its speakers are very satisfactory with a very clear stereo sound. It has NFC, of course, but something I miss coming from Xiaomi is the IR Blaster. The fingerprint is on the screen and optical, I have no complaints but no compliments either. There is also the option of face unlock for greater convenience (but not so reliable since it only uses the front camera). The screen has a very good resolution and the phone is very comfortable to hold for its size. It helps that they have placed the power button above the volume buttons instead of below. It is easier to hold with one hand that way.
As for the features: We have the second-generation Tensor processor, which doesn't seem to reach the most powerful Snapdragons or Apple's in tests, but practically in everyday use the phone flies. It overheats a bit at first because it learns AI and all the summer months. Quite challenging. However, it almost never lags, all apps open and close lightning fast, and heavier tasks like gaming are fine. I haven't tried heavy games, of course, and I don't intend to. The software is generally minimalist, stock android, without too much. However, no matter how much I write, they cannot capture how wonderful an experience it is, because where Tensor stands out is of course in AI. From processing photos, videos, to learning when you charge it and which apps you use throughout the day to optimize battery usage, this phone teaches you, and I love it more and more over time. And it's these little things, like being able to say "Silence" to an alarm and stop it. A bunch of things like that! Of course, I must emphasize that half or more of the goodies promised by Google are not available in our country. I hope in the future they will recognize us as an official country so that features like call screening will come here as well. 5G and VoLTE are now officially supported so there is no need to root to enable them. Wifi calling remains, and it requires a process but can be done, even without root. The battery easily lasts over a day with normal use, and a little less than a day with heavy use. Charging is slow, and that is a complaint I have about the phone in general. As if slow charging wasn't enough, it requires a PD3.0 PPS charger to reach maximum wattage.
Separately, I want to mention the camera because at this moment there is no phone on the market that takes better photos (with the main camera) than the Pixel. What your eye sees is what it captures, and the best part is that you don't need to adjust anything to take a good photo. Just point and shoot. There are some settings for those who are interested, and the phone can shoot in RAW, but in 90% of cases, the best shot is automatic. There is also an ultrawide lens that is very good but not spectacular, and a telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom that is spectacular. Especially thanks to the image processing algorithm, you can take photos with 30x zoom and they come out very clear. Video is also excellent, although it has not yet reached the level of the iPhone, it can go up to 4K60 on all cameras (I have it at 4K30 for 10-bit HDR). The front camera takes very good shots in adequate lighting, but admittedly struggles in less light. There are also some tricks thanks to Tensor like long exposure which is very interesting.
In summary: The phone is worth the money and more. It is recommended especially for those who want a) a flagship experience and do not want to spend a fortune b) a simple minimalist stock Android with frequent updates c) a phone that takes extraordinary photos without much effort d) all of the above. However, as I mentioned before, it is not "officially" supported in Greece and you miss out on some basic and many extra goodies, it's a bit like getting a Ferrari and driving it on the dirt road of your village. Still, it's worth it.

I also had a problem with incoming calls. Sometimes calls just wouldn't come through and I would receive an SMS saying I missed the call. From the caller's perspective, it looked like my phone was turned off.
I rooted my phone and after 3 months since purchasing it, the phone finally works properly (I was waiting for an official update but rooting was the only solution).
EDIT(05/04/2023): After 2 months, the mobile phone continued to have issues with calls even after the March update, which included VoLTE. I returned it as a faulty device and hope to get my money back so I can buy another phone. I feel quite disappointed because, as I said, it is an incredible device but it fails to perform basic functions and I have needlessly gone through a lot of trouble trying to find a solution. Therefore, I do not recommend this phone. If we look at Google's supported countries, then buy it blindly (after making sure it does not have any basic issues). Also, for those who give it 5 stars and write in their reviews "It has issues, but with root, a program, etc. it can be fixed," you mislead the average buyer and the ways you suggest to solve the problem do not solve anything, they just hide the issues this EXPENSIVE device has and no one should have to go through these processes when they spend so much money. The mobile phone is a masterpiece, no doubt about it. But if you are in non-supported countries by Google, then you have an issue. First of all, everyone said that it does not have 5G in non-supported countries and I thought that 4G was good enough when I bought it. But my issue is the following: When you buy a mobile phone, especially one that is so expensive, the minimum it should do is to make and receive calls. Well, in my case, many times it does not even show a notification that I missed a call. It's like it never happened. And on the other end, it either shows busy or it does not even ring. Completely unacceptable. And the problem is not from the settings or from the mobile network (I have Cosmote, What's up). I believe it comes from the fact that we are not on Google's list and some settings are locked. There are rumors that it may be fixed with the next March update (I have the latest update from February). Otherwise, the next solution is root, which is not difficult and is safe, but it is completely tragic to spend so much money and be put through this process.
*As for any other function, it is perfect (camera, screen, etc.) but I will not comment on these because there are countless videos that can explain them better than me. Hoping they will fix it on their own, I give it 3 stars. I would recommend anyone who wants to buy it to wait and research it thoroughly before making the decision to buy it. I will return with an edit if the problem is fixed in the next two months.
After 5 consecutive Samsung Navarhides, I decided to change my device and I am absolutely satisfied with Google's mobile phone. Its strongest point is the camera, but the negative is that it does not support 5G in Greece, so you can only make calls with 3G and 2G. If you have friends who have established 3G, it's difficult and you need to root your phone. I hope that a future update will fix this, as it has already been done in India, which is also an unsupported country. UPDATE: Today, on March 13th, the long-awaited update finally arrived. The phone now supports VoLTE, but not yet 5G. The big problem with missed calls for people with established 3G should now be resolved, especially for those using Cosmote.
After a lot of searching and reading dozens of reviews, I finally decided to get it. I've been using it for about a month now and I'm completely satisfied, it has exceeded my expectations. The camera is incredible, the battery lasts almost 2 days with regular use, the processor with Google's A.I. technology "learns" from you and the more you use it, the faster it gets, to the point where everything opens instantly. So far, the operating system has not shown any bugs and because it's Google, you get all the upgrades immediately, no problem with 5G either. I believe it's worth the money.
What should one write first about this gem? It's the best thing out there for Android. The issue with 5G, VoLTE, and VoWiFi is easily solved with a simple unlocking/root process, and it works on everything. I've left it untouched because I don't need 5G or the other features, and I haven't missed a single call. We're talking about a mobile powerhouse that teaches you something new every day, thanks to its advanced AI that's light years ahead, and the device does exactly what its owner wants.
As for the cameras, there's no need to comment on anything, there are no better ones on any Android device at the moment.
As for the battery, I've exhausted it too, and it doesn't understand anything.
Accessories? You can find glass and cases everywhere.
10/10 truly a mobile jewel. And I'm coming from Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra Snapdragon... Pixel and Pixel again.
This phone is exceptional, it does everything perfectly 10 out of 10!
The camera is amazing, like a lens, with incredible image processing, exceptional zoom and tremendous resolution.
It's fast and has an outstanding battery life of almost one and a half days.
The AI capabilities are incredible, and it runs on stock Android!
Regarding the issue of 5G calls, VoLTE, and VoWiFi, which has become a big topic, yes, officially, these features do not work in Greece. However, LTE, which is 4G, works with exceptional speeds, and I have not missed any calls under this capability.
After rooting (which is a straightforward process with an easy bootloader unlock), we are talking about the perfect device, with a signal everywhere and in areas without mobile signal, and incredibly fast 5G.
In short, if you want the best Android device by far and are willing to root it once to gain all its capabilities, then yes, it is worth buying. However, if you are not familiar with the subject, it is a bit unlikely to buy this phone, as you will not have 5G, VoLTE, and VoWiFi in Greece.
It is the most perfect device I have held in my hands in recent years!

Update
The battery gets much better over time, even with 120Hz it lasts a day with normal use. I have it at 60Hz and I have reached 2 days.
Regarding calls, nothing I have tried fixes the issue.
Unfortunately, if you're not willing to root the device, I don't recommend it to anyone in Greece.

It's beautiful and does everything right.
BUT, it has 2 major negatives, the battery is mediocre (with the refresh rate at 120Hz) and the issue with calls that someone else mentioned.
I've had it for 2 weeks and I've received a missed call message twice. It seemed like I was talking when I wasn't.
Also, during calls, you don't have internet.
In unboxing videos, they don't mention it (except for Techaholic).
As for the battery, as I said, it's mediocre even with moderate use, it won't last you 12 hours from the last charge (if you lower the refresh rate to 60Hz, things are much better, it easily lasts 1.5 days).
If it weren't for the issue with calls, it would easily get 5 stars.
Do not buy it if you do not live in the supported countries mentioned by Google, unless you root it to enable volte, otherwise you will have problems as another guy wrote here with half of the calls being busy. Other than that, I take my hat off to him...
His photos are not available, but the phone is top-notch! The appearance is greatly upgraded compared to the Pixel 6/6 Pro. It is a very beautiful and unique mobile phone!
After many android and iphone devices in the family, I think I settled on the pixel. I know it doesn't support 5G and VOLTE here in Greece, but I never used them on my other phones anyway. Calls are great, photos are the best a phone can take, you know the pixel will do it in difficult conditions like darkness or indoors. The zoom is out of this world even in the conditions I mentioned earlier. Nice screen, and overall a phone you wouldn't believe you could get for this price.
My experience is that this phone is garbage. A phone should first and foremost be able to make and receive calls, something that this particular phone doesn't do even half the time. Sometimes when people call me, it shows as busy, and other times I can't make a call on the first try and have to try 2-3 times. Coming from the OnePlus 7 Pro, a phone that's 3-4 years old, I expected to see a big change, but nope. The camera is clearly better than my previous phone and possibly better than all Androids right now, and that's the only significant upgrade I saw. The screen is pretty much the same, the speed is the same, and the charging is a little slower than the previous OP7P. There are a lot of AI features, but they're all in English. For me, it's not worth the money until they fix the call problems at least.
The best one can get on an Android device and to put it better, perhaps the best in terms of photo quality and price on Android! A very good phone with several improvements in battery, camera, screen, and fingerprint that had a serious issue. We have made the ultimate Review VIDEO and we hope it helps you.
