Because I read some comments about the charging and battery life that may create wrong impressions, I will say the following:
The phone has adaptive charging. Which is parametric. Also, adaptive charging has the property that it learns from the usage of the device in order to improve the quality and duration of the battery over time. This is the reason why sometimes, especially at night, it charges very slowly. Those of you who are not familiar with smartphones, please do not make criticisms as you mislead consumers. As for the device, as a holder of many Androids, I would say that Google now "makes" the best Android devices.
Cheaper than Xiaomi, Samsung, VFM. Better photos, better screen, and better software.
The only one that can be considered better than Google at this moment, but due to its issues, is Huawei.
Xiaomi and OnePlus have fallen behind.
I have had it for 1 month now, but I am really completely disappointed with the battery. I use social media, email, Spotify, and I have to charge it twice a day. In the morning, it was at 75% and now at 11:40 it has reached 45%, and all I did was talk on the phone for 2 five-minute calls. Otherwise, it's a very nice phone, but the battery is a drawback.

The 5g works fine and I haven't missed any calls!!! It would definitely need a stronger antenna. The camera is very good and the night shots are one of the best I've seen... the phone runs fast but not like a bullet... the battery lasts me 2 days without much use.
Overall, the feeling you get from the phone is very premium and you feel like you have something different.... I would call it the iPhone of Android
Very beautiful device and in a convenient size. Impeccable photo, satisfactory use in all basic functions and the battery after 15 days of use lasts 5:30-6:00 hours of screen time.
Fast, beautiful, and sturdy. Incredible camera and software. I would like the battery life to be significantly better. It doesn't inspire confidence that it will comfortably last the day.
Update 13/3. After two weeks of use, the "smart" battery has improved and gave me an extra 20-30%. Perfect!
And let me tell you something, guys; if you put it on maximum battery saving mode (because who needs all these apps running in the background?), its battery really soars.
It is exactly what I needed. It is true that it heats up easily, but other than that, the phone is perfect. An example of the image quality is this. If you want it for gaming, the phone performs quite well, but the battery will drain easily.
It only has a very good camera and nothing else. The battery runs out quickly and charges slowly. If it shuts down due to low battery and you plug it in to charge, it turns on after half an hour. It doesn't have a very good signal reception and I frequently receive messages that I missed calls (which didn't happen with my previous phone). The user interface is not very user-friendly. For example, it automatically changes the icons on the home screen based on their frequency of use. Another example is that to take a screenshot, there is no specific icon, but you have to simultaneously press the power button and the volume button (and in general, various functions don't have specific icons, but are done through button combinations that you have to search for on Google). I regret buying it!
As time goes by, Google ruins it. They focus on the camera, which is definitely excellent, but beyond that, it's a disaster. Just to note, I have had Google Pixel since the Nexus era and I upgrade almost every year with the new Pixel, so I'm not writing this lightly. Tensor is nothing special, and the green horses, in practice, are very mediocre, just like the previous two models. I'm sorry, but I see myself switching to Samsung soon.
Positives:
- Excellent camera with amazing results even in low light or astrophotography. I have stopped using my mirrorless camera.
- The battery easily lasts a day (without gaming) and the battery performance improves as the phone learns your usage.
- The speed and accuracy of the fingerprint sensor, which was a problem in previous Pixels, is noticeably improved, and in combination with Face Unlock, I don't encounter any issues.
- 5G on Cosmote works properly (as well as VoLTE, which also worked on previous Pixels).
- Very beautiful design and premium feel.
- Pure Android, with monthly updates and support from Google for many years.
Negatives:
- It is not officially available in Greece, so:
-- Not all service providers' services are supported, e.g. (WiFi Calling). Ask if your provider works correctly with the phone.
-- There is no representation here, so if it breaks, it will have to be sent abroad with all that entails.
The best thing about Android, if you don't want to play games. It now supports voLTE and 5G (on cosmote, which is what I have).
Other than that, the camera and smooth operation are flawless. +7 years of updates. Unprecedented.
The only downside is the lack of official service in Greece.
I had the Pixel 5 and switched to the 8 a few days ago.
You can notice a huge difference in all aspects, it remains an excellent choice for anyone who wants a clean phone without bloatware.
The only negative is that having gotten used to the 5, the 8 seems a bit bulky
