The only reason I'm writing is to honor a phone that I've had for 5.5 years and that works exactly like the first day. It has never frozen, it has never troubled me, it has never shut down from the battery without me expecting it... a loyal dog... So much so that I'm thinking of getting another one (from abroad, not for 700 euros) because if I ever need to change it, honestly, I wouldn't want anything but the same... Well done, Chinese... You only made the P30 and the COVID that don't break and will last forever...
The phone is non-existent. Whoever had/has it knows. I got it in 2019 and until today (2024) it runs without any issues, its battery lasts 2 days, the photo quality is satisfactory, as well as the EMUI being much superior compared to Samsung's One UI.
Excellent mobile phone. I have had it since May 2021 and it has never frozen on me. The battery is good. It easily lasts a day. The rear camera is amazing. However, it is not very good when it comes to video in low light conditions, like at night for example. The only somewhat weak point is the front camera. If the lighting is good, it takes good photos, but overall, if it's not perfect, like with lamp light indoors at night, the quality of the photos is mediocre and the colors don't come out well, like in hair, eyes, etc. In other words, to take a good selfie, you need daylight and a lot of it. Personally, this is not a significant problem for me. I don't know if in 2024 I would buy it because it is a 2019 model, and I imagine that there are probably much better models available at this price now, but overall it is a very good mobile phone that you get to keep. It's not like you buy it and after 2 years you have to get another one because it broke, became slower, or something stopped working.
02. 2024 I have had this mobile phone for 3+ years (purchased it for 790 euros back then, as a flagship). What can I say about this phone, it is the best thing that has ever come into my hands (after iPhone 12, S21, etc., and newer flagships that I have used from friends, etc., I didn't buy them).
Comparatively, as a whole, it is the only mobile phone that has the fewest negatives and it brings me joy to have it every day. It has no bugs, it doesn't feel slow no matter what you run, very good photo and video quality (okay, let's not lie here, newer iPhones and S models excel in this aspect). It is small and convenient, and it does everything very well. Why would I change it?
The best thing Huawei has ever released and what they have given us is what they deserve as a company (I have had Huawei phones since 2014). I think I have fallen in love with it and it will be a big dilemma for me when the time comes to decide what to replace it with, whenever it decides to go solo (I hope it takes a long time). For something similar, you easily surpass the 1000-euro mark, and it would not sit well with me to get anything cheaper...
P.S. Don't update it, it has bloatware and it will drain the battery. I have left it on version 10.1.0.150
One of the best mobile phones I've had... I've tried all the top models like iPhone and Samsung over time... and the only one I've kept and use as my main phone is this one... It's been 4 years and the battery still lasts comfortably for 1.5 days... It has never frozen... Its camera impressed with the telephoto lens and even today it stands up to the competition. It's one of those devices that are worth it even today...
If I could add more stars, I would! Coming from the p20 which I also loved, this is something else. It made me also get the Gt2 pro watch and freebuds 3. Everything is PERFECT! If Google hadn't banned it and it still had services and Kirin processors, I would never change companies
It was purchased for €870 in July 2019.
With this, I am writing the review. It is truly a perfect mobile phone, by far the best (for me) from Huawei. It was the last one that Google allowed at the time to enable its applications for P30 Pro users.
I do not regret the money I spent for a moment, it is worth it and more. The only thing I regret (my own mistake) is that I did not get it in the 256gb version, and that is why I am considering buying a new phone.
Otherwise, it is flawless.
By far the best mobile phone that has ever existed. My wife gave it to me as a gift in 2019 and until a few days ago, it worked perfectly in everything without any changes. Unfortunately, it was stolen from me in Mexico. It was perhaps the worst farewell with this giant.
Okay, the phone is fire as the previous reviewers said, I have had it since February 19, back then it cost 200 euros less. It easily competes with the phones of the 23 series and any flagship you want. The only problem I encountered was that suddenly one day I had no speaker. I tried everything, even changed the battery in the end, not only for the speaker but also because I am a clumsy user in general and it was necessary. The speaker never got fixed, and I tried everything. Even so, I preferred to spend 200 euros to keep this phone for a longer time rather than buying a new one. It has lasted another 1.5 years since then. Of course, I am still without a speaker and I use the alarm from my old phone. But now it's time to say goodbye and switch to the Asus Zenfone 10. If Huawei still had Google services, I wouldn't even think about it, but we all know it doesn't. I'm glad to see that the value of this phone is still high. It's worth it. Four stars though because I got a defective device with the speaker.
The best thing that has ever existed from Huawei!
The only reason I give it a 4/5 is because the screen experiences pixel burn/ghosting when you spend a lot of time on certain applications. Always function at maximum brightness and purchased in 2019. In all other aspects, the phone is unbeatable. The new iPhones and Galaxies pale in comparison. Beautiful, very powerful processor, and the camera remains unmatched. Compared to the S22, Huawei outshines it. There's no need to talk about night shots. You can see in absolute darkness.
I have it for over 3 years. Incredible. In its battery, in its cameras, in its screen, in everything. The last amazing Huawei phone with Google services. Truly awesome and there is no functional reason to change it in 2023. Everything works perfectly and better than many premium phones of 2023.
I wanted to get an S22 for improvement, then I wanted to get an S23 but I keep postponing it because they really have absolutely nothing better to offer compared to the P30. It would be more of a downgrade than an upgrade.
The machine is a rocket, it has a powerful processor, a great camera, nice color, and a beautiful screen. The battery lasts 3 days with 80% light usage. It is my first recommendation for a mobile phone that is worth the normal 700 euros. It has Google and runs heavy games without any problem. It's worth it
I am approaching 3 years and the mobile phone works like the first day. Its battery has some decline but not very noticeable. I use energy saving and full HD resolution.

War dog. Works as if I bought it yesterday. It has NEVER crashed in the 3 years I've been using it. I have spent incredible hours of mobile gaming with heavy demands, browsing, photo and video editing, everything. It never lagged.
It has fallen down, I have spilled water on it and nothing.
If there was still Google store, there would be no chance that I wouldn't buy Huawei again.

3rd year in my hands and I have to say it is by far the best mobile purchase I have made. With frequent social use and heavy gaming, it hasn't slowed down at all, the battery has remained at normal levels for a three-year-old phone and it lasts me long enough, something that I had issues with and had to replace in other phones. It's worth every last euro!
2 years after purchasing it, I replaced it with the Samsung flagship of 2021. The fact that I did it reluctantly says it all. Okay, the battery is not big and the sound is not its strongest point. But it has a good screen, it is still fast, it received an update with a new Android today, and the camera is possibly the best I've ever had on a mobile phone. If Huawei still had Google services, I would choose Huawei again without a second thought.
The mobile was purchased in the summer of 2019 for around 400 euros and I am very satisfied with everything! The best mid-range mobile purchase for the time at this price! For 600 euros now, it's not worth it as there are devices with better specifications and cheaper!
Pros:
- It still has Google services.
- I haven't had to service it for anything other than the camera glass.
- The battery lasts a whole day with good usage after 3 years!
Cons:
- The fingerprint sensor can be annoying sometimes as it takes 2-3 attempts
The mobile phone is inferior in performance compared to Samsung phones. It lags in browsing and several applications. It is good for those who haven't experienced really good Samsung or Sony phones.
In 2021, the mobile phone is still competitive. In 2019, it was possibly one of the top 5 mobile phones, if not the best.
The camera is still top-notch, the speeds are still very high, the battery is okay, and the speaker is quite good.
I bought the phone for 250 euros, so I definitely don't regret it, but for 2021, I don't know if it's worth 450 euros. Photos evolve every year on mobile phones, as do speeds, batteries, and screens.
For 450 euros in 2021, I can find something better, but for 250 euros (for me and in general), it was a one-way street.
Anyone who bought it in 2019 and still has it today and has the ability to compare mid-range Plus category mobile phones (based on price and brand, of course) can understand that it still performs perfectly, but they can definitely get a better one (as it is obvious).

In 2019, the mobile phone was consistently rated 5/5 in terms of material quality, sound, price, speed, photography, screen, battery, weight-size, and possibly other things I forget to mention.
I bought it for 399€ in October 2020. Initially, it had some glitches, but they were fixed with the updates. I expected a better battery, but it charges very quickly. The camera is very good, although it tends to be slightly intense and greenish as the sun sets. The flash is not necessary, but if someone uses it, they should use the permanent flash, not the automatic one, as it can blur the photo. The macro mode is automatic. It has many extra features for videos and photos. The OLED screen is very good, so I recommend using a tempered glass. The back is very sensitive and slippery, so a case is necessary. The signal is great and the calls are flawless. In videos, it doesn't have OIS, so if the lighting is not good, the stabilization can have some issues. I have had it for 10 months and I have to say it works better than when I first got it. As time goes by, I appreciate it more and more. It's a small and lightweight useful tool. I compare it closely to the iPhone XS Max. It looks you in the eye, but not in videos. If it had infrared and FM radio, I would buy another one to have it forever.
I have it for 1 year and something and still, even today, there is no phone that could be better than this (for the money). Something I have to say though is that its battery is not very good, but in all other aspects, it is perfect: very fast, it has never frozen, the screen is excellent, the build quality is amazing, and the cameras are indescribable... in all conditions, I always take very good photos. Oh! And for the record, the zoom of the Huawei P30 is much better than that of the iPhone 12 Pro Max, and its night shots are better, with a big difference from the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra
I was looking for a mobile phone to replace my old Sony XZ1. I wanted it to be as convenient to hold and have superior features compared to mid-range mobile phones. My first choice was the Xiaomi Mi 10T, but it was rejected due to its size, as well as some other options (LG G8S ThinQ, Samsung S10, Sony Xperia 5..). In the end, I settled on the P30 and after 4 months of use, I believe I made the best choice. It sits just as comfortably in my hand as the XZ1, but with a larger screen and very satisfactory image quality. The Kirin 980 and 6 GB of RAM perfectly cover my performance needs as the phone doesn't lag anywhere (I don't have an opinion on gaming as I'm not involved). Its camera is impeccable, especially in low-light conditions. Call and wifi quality are also excellent. Battery life, according to my own comparison measures, is moderate to good, and the fast charging is a plus. Its speaker is average, especially when compared to the XZ1's dual stereo speakers. Yes, I would like it to have stereo speakers, IP65 and IP68 certification instead of IP53, and the ability to use regular Micro SD cards for memory expansion, but at a purchase price of 430 euros, I can only be satisfied with my choice.
I have had the P30 for 9 months. It runs just as smoothly as it did back then. It doesn't lag at all, even with demanding games (I always play PUBG on HDR graphics and Extreme Frame Rate). It has 6 GB of RAM, so it doesn't have any issues whatsoever. The camera is very impressive, even in low light conditions, especially with Night Mode, it takes amazing photos. Overall, I have to add that Huawei and Honor phones have a lot of camera features, which are also user-friendly, compared to other phones (which is why I was a former user of the Honor 6X). The video quality is very good, it has 4K and even the ability to do optical zoom while recording video, very good stabilization (even though it has EIS and not OIS on the main camera, for those who know). The only thing that bothers me is the battery. Although it lasts for a day even with gaming, for a phone that costs 400€, they should have included a battery with at least 4000 mah. Here, Xiaomi phones that cost 180€ have batteries of 4000 and 4500 mah, so why not include a high-performance phone with a high-capacity battery? Nevertheless, I highly recommend it!
I have this specific phone for 7 months and I must say, it is excellent. Reliability, battery, camera, signal reception, clear sound, fast - these are the things that interest me in a phone and all of these are great. With the 370 euros that I bought it for, could I have gotten something better? I have no preferences for any mobile company, I am not a fan of any. I was forced to intervene due to some negative comments, to express my impressions without any exaggeration. A company that has been hit by many and still continues to excel and hold the second position worldwide in mobile sales. Again, when I buy a phone again someday, I will most likely choose HUAWEI. P.S. I charge the battery not with its own charger but with one that I had from the honor 8, because I prefer slower charging (70 minutes). I am not a kid (58 years old), I use the phone reasonably, I don't play with it. I only use it for calls, a few photos, and IF needed, a little browsing. Owner of the P30 for half a year and something. I come from Samsung and iPhone where I was a fan for many years. The mobile is very fast even after many updates. Very simple and user-friendly software without unnecessary apps. Overall, I use it moderately to heavily and it satisfies me completely!! The applications run quickly without any lag, even if I have opened many apps simultaneously. The camera is amazing and I really like the AI function that I didn't have in previous phones and overall the performance of the LEICA. I would like a slightly larger battery, although I won't change it until the company no longer supports it.
Very good phone. It doesn't freeze, it's very fast. It performs excellently in games and as for the camera, it is exceptional for the use I make of it. Its black spots are that it could have dual speakers for better and stereo sound, and of course the fingerprint sensor, which is why I give it 4 stars, as it often fails to recognize it and unfortunately becomes annoying.
I have it since November 2019. Convenient in hand, impeccable cameras, Leica and Sony sensor work wonders, even in automatic mode. Processor, last year's flagship. Sound, very good speaker, but also the headphones it has inside, although simple, are excellent. Even if you find it used, it plays at 300, it is much better than models from other companies up to 450. It doesn't need many words, the little brother of the p30 pro.
While everything is amazing on this phone, I would like a slightly longer battery life, but I understand it because it charges in one minute by 2%.
2. The camera is great during the day, but at night it turns green when you have a lamp in front of you or a projector, which can be fixed with ISO, but when there is no light and you have to use the flash, the photos come out terrible because the flash is right below the camera. That's why I would suggest in this case to use a friend's phone flash and take normal pictures. Overall, though, it's worth it for the price of 100%

I have to say that this is possibly the best one.
It has a beautiful design with a wonderful high-quality screen.
The cameras are among the best on the market.
One negative aspect that I find is that it has specific options regarding the SD card. It uses a different standard and is expensive compared to the classic SD cards.
It is compatible, from what I understand, with QC 3.0.
Although the company has a different standard for fast charging.
In summary, QC 3.0 is at 18w.
