The texts of the correspondence should be studied without judging the individuals, but rather seeing the effort they made for the restoration of Orthodox theology to its sources. And especially to see the Orthodox theology of Fr. Ioannis Romanides, as it appeared in his dissertation, which he later supplemented with newer observations, as well as the combativeness of this new theologian who was not familiar with Greek reality and was surprised when he encountered it, and did not retreat from his views, but at the same time to see the combativeness of Panagiotis Trembelas, in a supposed differentiation of various theological positions. And finally, we must appreciate that both met precisely because they had good intentions."
