A banker is found murdered in his office - with his throat deeply cut. A homeless drug addict is found murdered in the exact same way. Although the media believe that behind their murders hides a serial killer nicknamed Bob the Butcher, Max Wolf, the responsible for the police investigation, soon discovers that the two murdered men were classmates and friends from an expensive private school. After surveillance, the police arrest Bob the Butcher, who takes responsibility for the murders. However, when two more of the seven members of the school gang are murdered, Max Wolf is convinced that someone else is trying to exterminate them and senses that they are connected by a secret. Will he manage to reach the end of the story, given the obstacles posed by the rigid social stratification of English society in every police investigation?
