I have been told that the root of the word "karma" means "action". And what is action? Action means that you act. Not "I have acted" or "I will act". Action means now. For most people, action involves a memory from the past, a motive, a future goal or a future ideal, and so on. However, this is not action. I wonder if you see this. Action means that I am doing something in the present. But one denies the present when they have a motive, a cause for future action. So when you rely on the present or the future, you are not acting. For most of us, action is based on memory or a motive. Let's be completely clear and honest about this.
