This review is about the edition: Hits

Mind-blowing. I got it in 2020 (and I was very late) and I was instantly amazed. The gameplay is fantastic, the graphics are unbelievable, the story is interesting, and it has one of the best soundtracks of all time, along with the new Doom Eternal. The only negative thing I found is some minor details with the scenery (away from the battle area), but it doesn't matter because it is way ahead of its time. Final rating 9-9.5/10, go get it!

The most perfect gameplay I have ever seen. The music of the game is the best you will ever hear. It deserves 10000000/100.

Simply perfect, so much so that it saved a dying series. The gameplay is fast and requires the player to adapt to it, especially in the higher difficulties. The weapons are one of the best parts of this game, each weapon has 2 attachments that make it completely different and their upgrades make them even more useful. The levels are what you would expect from an old arcade shooter, meaning they are large and full of secrets, including upgrades, collectibles, and weapons that you wouldn't get until later. Overall, exploration is rewarded. It also has multiplayer for those interested. If you don't have it, get it, it's worth it.

Very nice game, but it seems difficult even at the lowest difficulty level. There are parts that will frustrate you and make you stop playing for days until you try to pass them again. In some parts, I had to watch YouTube to figure out where the character should go, as the paths you follow are complex and in some places you have to jump across without being sure if you will make it. I've been struggling with it for a while now, I'm not a skilled gamer like others who finished it in twelve hours. I don't give it five stars because it's a difficult game and the constant movement required in battles gets tiring. In any case, it's worth adding to your collection, although I noticed that its price has increased a lot lately!

I am a fan of the series from the past, but I believe that this is the best game of the series.
    Positives:
Nice campaign, with plenty of action and violence, and the story unfolds gradually (although it's not the best, but it's still pretty good)
You can replay the levels to find secrets, just like the old levels that you can play in the menu, and that's what caught my interest to sit down and replay the entire campaign to find the secrets.
The Snapmap is interesting (although a bit difficult to learn how to create your own levels, but nice)
    Negatives:
The multiplayer is quite average, it can be played but it's not that good.
The Snapmap on PS4 takes about 10 minutes to load and it can be a bit frustrating, especially if you don't have patience.

But despite all that, the game is amazing and really nice!

Doom, from its early release years, remains one of my favorite fps games. Unlike most games where you have to hide and shoot from place to place, pressing simultaneously on the map to advance the plot, Doom gives you the opportunity to be a complete badass by shooting everyone in the face, and with the takedowns & finishers system, it becomes more and more satisfying. The game is strictly aimed at adults as it contains heavy imagery. The graphics are very realistic, and the soundtrack helps the player to quickly immerse themselves in the atmosphere and start killing demons.

DOOM surpasses many formulaic first-person shooters of this generation. It is immediate, frenetic, gloriously violent, and accompanied by an incredibly fitting soundtrack. The multiplayer is equally fast-paced, and SnapMap will engage those who enjoy building their own levels.

Doom is a game from the first and second generation, having played the old ones, I decided to try this one as well. It wasn't a great game, but it had nice gameplay and good graphics. The music was also nice.

Very repetitive. Nice gameplay and chaotic, but no variation. Throughout the game, you did the same thing over and over again. It's good that it was short in duration and I managed to endure until the end. The story is uninteresting, nice soundtrack, good graphics.

Back to basics, the latest game in the Doom series impressed me the most! Having played the Doom games since the Nintendo era with cartridges, I have to say that I liked the similar way the game was filmed, with clean FPS gameplay without a particular storyline, cutscenes, and long videos. Endless battles, great content with variety in enemies, weapons, equipment, and locations. The graphics are incredible and stable at 60fps, even on the simple PS4 console. Attention to those who are completely unfamiliar with this game title! It is not for someone looking for an adventure, it does not have a complex story, nor activities, and anything one can imagine, as I saw in some comments. It is a unique game that targets a specific audience and it does so excellently! It is highly worth it for anyone who understands what kind of game it is, and for its very low price, it is practically free. Just check out what the Doom games are roughly about to have an idea before purchasing it.

I got this game a few days ago and I had no idea what to expect from the previous Doom. One thing I have to say is that it won me over with its awesome singleplayer and intense battles. Overall, I am very satisfied and especially now that the price has dropped, it's worth getting if you like it

The truth is that I approached this particular title with skepticism, as I grew up with the classic DOOM games which were exceptional, and I was disappointed with DOOM 3. When I finally decided to buy it, I did not regret it. The work done on the title is excellent. The graphics and sound effects are of a very high level and the game is simply enjoyable. The monsters are very well designed, and once you get used to the fast gameplay, it becomes even easier. I give it 4 stars because after some hours of gaming, I feel discomfort, maybe due to the fast and continuous movement that the character must have. Of course, I mention this complaint, as it only happens to me with this particular title. Otherwise, I am completely satisfied and I definitely think it's worth its money.

Very good single player, one of the few fps games that are worth it in this era and at a very good price.
Anyone who gets it and is not accustomed to this type of game may struggle a little at first because they need to be almost constantly in motion, but within an hour at most they will be playing without any problem. Don't think too much about it, it's worth its money.

I do not have a PS4 Plus subscription, so I cannot judge the multiplayer, so I will only give my opinion on the single player.

Campaign: Exceptional graphics and gameplay that you don't get bored of easily. The storyline is nothing more than an excuse to kill demons (but you don't buy this game for the storyline). I am not particularly experienced in FPS games on consoles, but I finished the game relatively easily on normal difficulty. It took me a while to finish it on hard and nightmare, so I can say that it can become very difficult for those looking for a challenge.
Snapmap: I haven't spent much time on this part of the game, but I can understand how it would interest someone with creative ideas for games. The main idea is to create your own maps and publish them.

Overall, I highly recommend this game and consider it a very good purchase!

A very good game overall, especially for those who have played the previous ones, it would definitely create an emotional attachment for them. Very dark, even the easy mode is relatively difficult. The problem I encountered is that because it runs fast as a game and as a camera, after 4-5 minutes my eyes start to hurt excessively, and it generally tires me. And no, it doesn't happen to me with any other game, nor has it ever happened to me before.

If you have seen the first Rambo, just imagine him wearing a suit and instead of killing people, he kills demons! Doom is a unique fps that simply pumps your adrenaline to the max. Without health regeneration and with a lower difficulty level like Hard, the game is more than challenging. If you're the 10-year-old who asked for it from their dad, this game is not for you. Go play Minecraft and let the adults have fun. Enjoy another masterpiece from Bethesda!

Perfect in everything.. I wish such games were released more often. Also, at the bottom left of the game box, there is a red frame that says 18, which means that kids will have "nightmares". Very objective criterion for someone to give a star :)

Finally, an FPS game with a decent campaign. Fast and intense action, unlike the mindless gameplay of other shooters. There is no regenerating health system, which forces you to constantly move, unlike the monotonous "Shoot, hide, wait for health to regenerate, shoot again" etc. Old players who played Doom 1 and 2 on DOS will love it even more.

The only reason I give the multiplayer a "so-so" rating is because I haven't gotten used to it yet, and this can change. It has the format of an arena shooter: a style of game that thrived on PC with games like Quake and Unreal Tournament, and since I never dealt with PC, I don't have the experience that other players may have. It doesn't resemble any other multiplayer on the console market, and beginners may get discouraged.

It is not the worst game that exists but it has its negatives... It has a lot of violence and you walk very fast. I have no words for the graphics, the best I have seen. And in my opinion, it is very futuristic.

A DOOM exactly as you want it! Fast-paced, many weapon options, variety of enemies, fitting background music for the game's character, and a campaign that will last around 10 hours if you go for all the secrets. Among the positive additions are the glory kills, definitely the chainsaw, as well as the ability to unlock and play levels from the classic 1993 Doom. The multiplayer in the style of Unreal Tournament is not impressive, but you might spend some time with it just for the Demon glory kills. It's a purchase that is worth it, especially now that its price is around 30 euros.

Really impressive game, worthy of its predecessors. It escaped the claustrophobic feeling of III and strongly resembles Doom and Doom II in its setup and pace. It didn't receive the proper recognition in 2016 from gamers. It's worth it!! 5/5.
