Coming from Shell Helix Ultra ECT 5W30, the oil is exactly as I expected. Seeing oil tests on YouTube, it is an excellent oil for high temperatures (100°C) and strong pressure because it has a very resistant oil film. However, at normal oil temperature, meaning when the oil is not yet hot, let me explain to you: when Shell Helix Ultra ECT 5W30 at normal temperature has a friction of 6, Shell Helix Ultra 5W40 has a friction of 9. So, the friction at normal temperatures, let alone in cold start, is greater. For now, the oil is great for warm weather, but in winter I will switch back to Shell Helix Ultra ECT 5W30
In a BMW E46 2004 with 250,000 miles, I used to use Castrol Edge but it only made it worse, so I switched to this one!
The engine no longer knocks and doesn't burn it!
Very good!
One of the best oils on the market, proven by chemical analysis. Ferrari doesn't randomly use it in their models. It has a high TBN number, so the oil takes longer to lose its chemical properties. It contains anti-friction additives such as Molybdenum (Mo) and Boron (B), which are increased compared to other 5w40 oils, resulting in low noise and low fuel consumption. Additionally, its composition with Magnesium and Potassium achieves the reduction of Low Speed Pre-Ignition Protection (LSPI) phenomenon, where the engine knocks due to poor fuel quality. What I noticed in my own engine is smooth and quieter operation. It also reduces gasoline consumption. It offers a lot for its price, so I would definitely buy it again. Always make sure to check the oil specifications and look for APPROVAL from the manufacturer, not just RECOMMENDATION.
Top oil. In my Nissan Tiida (2009) 1600cc, I always used another well-known brand, but in the last change with Shell Ultra 5 liters, I saw a huge difference. Fuel consumption has noticeably decreased, the engine has "softened" in general, you can feel the difference immediately.
Used in a Hyundai i20 2013, 1.2 and 86ps.
The packaging and specifications of the oil have changed, it is now ACEA A3/B4 but it also covers API SN+. It is made from natural gas and not mineral oil, and you can tell by the smell.
As an oil, it remains among the top in its category but it also needs some time to work properly. At first, at idle, the engine sounded louder but gradually became almost silent. Additionally, the car's fuel consumption, even in winter, is lower.
The oil is full saps and as long as it meets the specifications of your car, you can get it blindly
I used Castrol 5w30 oil in my Ford Fiesta mkvi 2009 with 64000 km. I always changed it at 5000 km and it always burned a little oil. The next change with Castrol Edge 5w30, again at 5000 km, it burned a little oil again. Then I switched to Helix Ultra 5w30 Pure Plus and noticed smooth operation, easy start-up, quiet operation on the highway, and reduced consumption! I changed it again at 5000 km and it didn't burn a drop! So, I went back to Shell Helix Ultra, but this time 5w40 because in Greece, during the summer, we have temperatures above 40 degrees, so the 30-grade oils are not the best option. The results were exactly the same, even lower consumption, and the car runs smoothly! I don't know what's going on with Castrol, but after some kilometers, the oil burns
Very good oil. Smooth operation. Quickly reaches operating temperature during start-up.
In MB c200 kompressor sports coupe w203
Top the oil I put in Audi A3 fsi. I notice a decrease in consumption but also smoother engine operation in general.
It meets all the specifications, recommended by my mechanic, and I am very satisfied with its use in BMW E60.
Excellent oil. Small price difference compared to much lower quality products. The car is maintained by the oil ....
Amazing oil simply.
one of the best oils for gasoline engines in 5w40 along with the Mobil 3000 x1
I don't know how it happens, but it's the only oil that doesn't disappear from my engine
