I have been buying hair pomades from this company for six years, specifically the blue (as blue as everyone wants) and the red ones. Nice, easy application, nice scent, good hold that lasts (I have difficult curly hair that's curly during the day and like macaroni at night) and most importantly, it washes out easily with water (and shampoo of course because I take a bath) without causing me any trouble at all.
However, ladies and gentlemen (why not), this is WAX we're talking about. Not pomade but WAX. So, I decided to try it (the beast) for a change, but the problem that arose is objective, not subjective... and I'll explain.
I put a small amount like a hazelnut in my hands and start warming it up. I rub, rub, rub and spread it all over. Disaster, folks! I don't care that it didn't sit well on my hair. I don't care that my hair "broke" from the first minute I applied it (and didn't smooth out like with pomades). I don't care about those things because one could say "with hair like yours, that's what you'll get." What I care about is that it DID NOT COME OUT AT ALL from my hair when I washed it. I AM NOT EXAGGERATING. My hands were filled with wax, my hair was filled with wax, the bathroom phone was filled with wax, my whole soul was filled with wax. I reached a point where I was rubbing my head like a madwoman, between schizophrenia and depression. After two tons of hot water (yuck, I'll melt it along with my scalp and be done with it) combined with whatever shampoo was available (women's, men's, children's, and dog's), I managed to remove 80%. The remaining 20% had stayed stubbornly at the roots (which eventually came out after 2 days of persistent washing and candles). I threw it away, lit a cigarette, and calmed down.
Really, those who put it on their heads and say "what a nice thing this is" either don't take a bath (Easter is coming, go wash yourselves) or take a bath and don't care that their hair feels like lard, or I did something very wrong and I'm just ranting for nothing. Okay, it has a nice scent, let's not talk nonsense, but I want it for my hair, not for Airwick (which it could be btw). That's all, and forgive me.
