The Sebastian Loeb rally carries the name and advice of the world champion, and gives us a game with mixed emotions.
The game was created by Milestone, a small Italian studio that, in my opinion, doesn't do so well, at least in terms of graphics.
Its strong point is the handling and physics of the vehicles, a real challenge to try to stay on the narrow road and at the same time be fast to win.
On the other hand, the weak point of the title is its graphics.
Unfortunately... very mediocre and problematic, your eyes hurt until you see the turn!
(at least in the onboard cameras)
There is intense blurring on the road, glare as well, objects appear at the last moment like trees on the sides, signs, and shadows..!
The sound is also at mediocre levels, mediocre environmental effects and engines that sound like they are covered under ten blankets.
IF you are hardcore rally fans and you like the real challenge, overlook the graphics and get it, the more you play and learn it, the more you get hooked,
but if you want something easy to drive.. like.. full throttle...
then don't get it, it's not like that.
As LOEB stated, this game is not for everyone.
In summary....
+ handling
+ realism
+ great variety of rally cars-categories
+ addictive career and challenges.
- problematic graphics
- mediocre sound but does its job.
update.
Dirt Rally has also been released, more expensive at the moment but I won't discuss it, I would go for Dirt Rally a thousand times, graphics that leave you speechless,
the best sound ever created in a rally game, and amazing handling.
It is a very good rally game and the handling is easy. I recommend it for purchase!
