Description
The Medela Nipple Formers gently prepare your nipples for breastfeeding. They gently press the nipple outward so that your baby can latch on more easily.
The soft and flexible silicone membrane offers a convenient and comfortable fit, making breastfeeding problems a thing of the past.
Flat or inverted nipples can make breastfeeding difficult. Some infants struggle to latch onto these nipples properly, which can cause injury.
The silicone membrane of the formers applies gentle pressure to the areola, progressively pushing the nipple outward. Treatment can begin during pregnancy (from the 30th or 32nd week onwards). Initially, wear the formers for one hour a day and then gradually increase usage to about 8 hours a day. After the baby is born, wear the formers between breastfeeding sessions (1/2 to 1 hour before breastfeeding). Avoid wearing them during the night to prevent potential irritation*.
