Description

The Vengeance LPX is aimed at demanding computer users, such as gamers, professionals in video and image editing, designers, and those who require high performance from their computer.

DDR4

DDR4 is the fourth generation of RAM technology for computers. It replaces DDR3 and offers increased speeds and capacity.

It offers operating speeds from 2133MT/s to 4800MT/s, latency (CAS Latency) from CL 9 to CL 22, while its capacity has increased up to 32GB per memory module.

For speed (MT/s) and capacity (GB), the larger the size we choose, the better performance we will have in our system, while for latency (CL), we want the smallest size for the speed (MT/s) we have chosen.

The above characteristics should be compatible with the specifications of our motherboard.

The Vengeance LPX provides a speed of 2400MT/s, with CL14 and 8GB per memory module.

Compatibility

DDR4 technology is compatible with specific motherboards and processors. Indicatively, DDR4 is compatible with Intel Skylake, Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake series processors and the latest Intel processors, as well as AMD Ryzen and Threadripper series processors.

However, for compatibility with your motherboard, you need to ensure that your motherboard supports DDR4 technology from the manufacturer. Compatibility depends on the processor platform and the type of motherboard you are using.

XMP & EXPO

XMP & EXPO is a technology that allows us to increase the frequency and performance of our computer's memory without the need for manual adjustments. (XMP/EXPO) is easily activated from the BIOS, is available in certain RAM memories, and is supported by certain motherboards.

Cooling & Design

The aluminum construction material combined with the memory height of 34mm, which is an ideal size to fit large CPU coolers, helps to keep the memory and the entire computer at a fairly low temperature even during the most demanding operations.

Very satisfied after 3 months of use on a Ryzen platform with the B350gaming and the Ryzen 1600 for creative programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) as well as gaming (PUBG, Crysis, Rise of the Tomb Raider). In terms of size, in most cases, 8GB covers the needs even in demanding tasks or heavy games. However, if the prices of DDR4 RAM hadn't skyrocketed, I would definitely go for 16GB since with 8GB, many times you are on the edge.     I have them for a year... very good memories, I had no issues until now. At least for the little gaming I do.
    2400mhz, cas 14, but from my experience with memories over the years, I would say the type is not that important... mainly what type, like DDR2-3-4-5, and the capacity in GB.
    Of course, I made the mistake of buying 2 months after purchasing the tower and a second set of exactly the same memories, totaling 32GB, which are completely useless, at least for the use I have for the machine.
    I should have spent money on RGB memories to make it more flashy.
