The student book belongs to the bilingual series for learning Greek as a foreign language "Greek for You," which is aimed at teenagers and adults. It is bilingual material that facilitates classroom teaching as well as autonomous learning. The series continues with level A1 (Greek-English).
The A0 book focuses on systematic teaching of reading, writing, accentuation, and pronunciation and is intended for complete beginners (who do not even know the alphabet) as well as advanced students (even C2) who still face issues with the above skills.
It includes material in accordance with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and the syllabus required for obtaining the Certificate of Attainment in Greek from the Centre for the Greek Language (CGL).
It includes 175 exercises with their solutions and is supplemented by audio material (CD mp3, 4 hours) and additional interactive e-learning exercises on the NEOHEL website (www.greekforyou.eu).

BILINGUALISM
At level A0, everything is translated. The exercise instructions, rules, texts, captions, signs, and all other cultural elements are followed by their translation, so that their content is immediately understood and the student is facilitated in practicing reading, writing, pronunciation, and accentuation, which are the main goals of the A0 Book.
The material can also be taught in an intercultural classroom where each student will have the book with the reference language they choose, without the teacher needing to know any of the reference languages.
