Designed for Sony E-mount full-frame mirrorless camera systems, this lens provides a minimum focusing distance of 15.8" throughout the zoom, ensuring your ability to take detailed close-up shots of your subjects. With an HLA motor, this lens offers silent and precise autofocus, and the rounded 12-blade diaphragm ensures pleasant and circular bokeh. This lens repels damage from external elements by incorporating a water- and oil-repellent front lens element coating with a dust- and splash-resistant design.

  • A zoom lock switch prevents accidental lens extension.
  • The aperture ring with a lockable click/de-click function allows for smooth adjustments and prevents unintended value changes.

Optical Design

Two F Low Dispersion (FLD) elements and one Special Low Dispersion (SLD) element significantly reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing throughout the zoom range for improved clarity and color accuracy.

Five aspherical elements control spherical aberrations and distortions for increased sharpness and accurate rendering.

A water-repellent coating is applied to the front element of the lens to minimize liquid adhesion to the glass.
