Specifications are collected from official manufacturer websites. Please verify the specifications before proceeding with your final purchase. If you notice any problem you can report it here.
I have had it for 3 months now and I am quite satisfied. It is universal, so the connection was plug and play. It enhanced the volume, quality, and bass (always using the MAX function) of my car speakers. I strictly increase the volume on my speakers up to 40, as beyond that it starts to distort. Good range.
As for the negatives, I have the following to mention, but these are minor issues that you may encounter occasionally, so they don't ruin the overall experience.
The volume difference between 20-30 and 10-20, as well as 30-40, is minimal. I don't know why.
The Bluetooth works flawlessly, but it has disconnected me only once, and to reconnect, I had to delete the device and pair it again.
Also, every time the device turns on, the Bluetooth tries to connect to the last device it was connected to, instead of a list of paired devices.
I don't know about other users, but in my car, it doesn't turn on with the car's ignition, but rather with the press of the voice button.
At night, the keys 1-6, which are also function keys, don't illuminate enough to see their separate function.
I would prefer a pause function with the press of the voice button instead of mute, as I don't think anyone would simply want to mute the music they are listening to via Bluetooth.
I have only used the USB port for charging, but it managed to drain the battery level for a 2-hour trip (on a phone that wasn't managing the music and was idle with occasional app openings).
During phone calls, the person you are talking to can't hear you unless you shout.
TLDR: I recommend it as a first upgrade from your car's basic system to Bluetooth.
I got it mainly for the Bluetooth. However, there is a problem here, while I can hear my interlocutor normally, they can't hear me well or at all.
Value for money. In this price category, only low-quality Chinese products. Its quality is excellent, quite good volume, several features, and despite all the comments I read about the built-in microphone, I use the hands-free mode without any problems for my conversation partner.
For the money, it is very honest. Very good sound, fast connection from mobile, and very good listening on Bluetooth calls
At 45 euros, which I bought it for in 2023, it was VFM. Quality sound, quick and stable Bluetooth connection, user-friendly menu, easy installation, and the brightness or colors do not bother you while driving. I have installed it in a 2003 Opel Corsa and a 2001 VW Golf, and both work flawlessly. With a 32 GB mini SD card and Bluetooth through my phone with Spotify and YouTube Premium, you can travel for hours and listen to everything. The price increase to 68+ from stores that have had it in stock for 2 and 3 years is unjustified.
I would like it to have no limitations on the number of folders and files it can read (99 and 999 respectively) with a source up to 32 GB and not larger. I would also like an equalizer with more bands. Other than that, it is excellent, it captures many stations, the Bluetooth sounds flawless and without the need for an external microphone. It is also important that it remembers where you left off and continues playing from there.
It works fine. Have a car electrician install it for proper operation (memories). The microphone for calls is average but it does the job. Even better to get the external microphone.
So, I tried the sound system and let me tell you, it's amazing. I installed it on a 1998 Nissan Almera n15 with the stock speakers and still, it had crystal clear sound. It has left me speechless, I am extremely satisfied and I highly recommend it. It's also here to debunk any other claims that said it breaks easily or that it stopped working within 2 days, or any other negative review. This product has incredible quality and let's not forget that it's Philips
Do not make the mistake of buying it, it does not come with a power cord or an external microphone in the box, it is extra, they say.... Whatever that means. Like if you buy shoes, will you also get extra laces and insoles? If someone makes the purchase, they should ask over the phone what is included with the device.
First day I got it worth 100% the money very good sound quality
very nice menu as well as appearance it rocks I placed it and very easily without having to take it to a professional 5/5
I bought it 5 months ago and while I had it, it was perfect (I didn't remove the detachable front panel one night and unfortunately, the car was broken into to steal a 60 euro sound system).
For these months, I noticed that it improved the sound quality and signal reception on some stations compared to my previous radio CD (a Clarion, truly immortal, which I replaced solely due to the lack of Bluetooth).
Today, I ordered it again because it was truly impeccable in every aspect, the connection was plug and play, a two-minute story.
Fields I don't know but I have it for 2 years and today it probably broke!! It only says welcome and goodbye ??
For its price, the sound quality it provides is extremely good. Both at low and high volumes. It has nothing to envy from other headphones priced at 90-100 euros
The company Philips is immortal and everything it produces is of the highest quality and the prices are always reasonable. The radio MP3 player is worth it. Well done Philips
A satisfactory device for its price.
The sound intensity is very good. The clarity is also satisfactory.
With Bluetooth, it connects easily and quickly, allowing you to play/pause the track as well as go to the next/back.
I haven't used it for calls yet, so I don't know how clear I sound to others.
I got it for my car's Bluetooth. Easy installation. The Bluetooth worked immediately. It connects as soon as I get in the car and calls can be heard clearly.
I expected the receiver to be better. It constantly has interference with fluctuations (from many to fewer)
I expected better material quality. The buttons are loose and don't have a good feel. Easy installation and operation.
Very good for its price!! After 2 months of use, it has been flawless so far. Crystal clear sound on the radio, but even better sound quality with Bluetooth, connects instantly. Satisfactory volume, shakes the entire car if you press max sound ;-P (other levels, you experience it on your own). I would definitely recommend it with my eyes closed!! (Value for money)
Unbeatable sound, easy settings, and relatively normal installation in a Hyundai Getz. In the previous radio, the average volume I had was around 10-11, in this one it reaches and exceeds 4-5. Additionally, activating the bass by pressing a button on the radio's dashboard in the rear half of the car is amazing...
The only flaw that was noted is that in Bluetooth mode, while speaking, the receiver doesn't hear you as clearly.
Very good quality and sound intensity. Satisfactory menu (not particularly user-friendly but expected). The built-in microphone works perfectly and the sound heard by the interlocutor is clear. Very good quality-cost ratio (including installation costs if you go to a specialist).
It is very good value for money, but after a certain point of intensity, it starts to lose a lot (around 40), but until that point it is very good. Also, sometimes the sound gets stuck and cuts off, and you have to restart it to fix it.
Replaced a 10-year-old Sony. The difference in sound quality is noticeably better. It works well with 2 Jvc 320w (40w rms). Bluetooth works flawlessly and connects instantly to the phone without interruptions. The settings menu could be a bit simpler. It has a built-in microphone which, in my case, has satisfactory sound when stationary. When the car is in motion, they simply can't understand what I'm saying.
Quite good! It has one drawback. When the volume is at zero, there is a continuous and constant noise coming from the speakers, whether I am in radio, USB, or any other mode. I connected it to an external source and different speakers, and still the same issue. When I gradually increase the volume, the noise is covered by the music. I don't know if it's a defect or if it happens in all cases (I would like feedback from someone who has the same issue)
Value for money!! This one does not include an external microphone in the package (there is another code that includes it), but I think it has a built-in one (not good though). I had to buy one separately (not something crazy either). However, I will come back to take a closer look and see if I missed any settings. It is a decent sound system, with all the features of the era. Good sound, activating functions like max boost, etc. does not affect the sound at all, its Bluetooth works perfectly for calls and music. Overall, it has nothing to envy compared to other brands that cost 40 euros and above.
You get exactly what you pay for... a very good source, clear sound, powerful in the lows, volume higher than expected, factory source quality with 4X22W Rms power.
One star less because it doesn't accept connection with 2 smartphones simultaneously and the ringtone volume for incoming calls is set by default at 30+, while at 20 the music is already very loud (over 90db with factory speakers in an A140 2003 model, without the ability to adjust).
Easy and fast pairing with a smartphone, remembers and connects quickly with the last one that was connected, Bluetooth music function is unquestionably very good (tested with Spotify 100% OK).
User-friendly buttons for quick operations, very good and sturdy volume control button (better than Pioneer or Sony), gives a factory-like feeling.
I recommend it and would definitely choose it again, hoping for simple software fixes in the future.
Very good choice for its price.
The sound is much better compared to the old Alpine source.
Bluetooth frees your hands both in music and in calls. The callers hear you a bit further away (depending on the distance of course).
It also includes a slot to connect an external microphone wherever you want.
Much better in terms of quality and construction/materials and functionality than the corresponding ones of the 20-30 euro range, offering at the same time all the functions that a device of this type can have. Performance similar to devices that cost twice as much
After about 10 times of opening it, it gets stuck on the initial screen (Welcome!) and the only thing I can do is close it.
A return and refund was made.
Owner for 5-6 months, the radio has a nice sound on Bluetooth, but the volume drops quite a bit. If you're not interested in Bluetooth, maybe consider a Pioneer with more watts
