The Ricoh GR III HDF is the ultimate snapshot camera, staying true to the GR series concept. It is equipped with a comprehensive range of new components, including a lens, an image sensor, and a mechanism. The large APS-C size CMOS image sensor with approximately 24.24 effective megapixels produces high-resolution images, while the short startup time of about 0.8 seconds allows for quick and spontaneous shots.

It features a new, built-in HDF (Highlight Diffusion Filter) for creating soft, diffused contrasts in illuminated areas, allowing greater control over the style of photos while maintaining excellent image quality.

The 18.3 mm lens, equivalent to 28 mm, features a bright maximum aperture of f/2.8 and six elements in four groups, reducing spherical aberrations and distortions. Additionally, the macro setting covers close-up subjects within a range of 6 cm to 12 cm.

The 3-axis vibration reduction system minimizes the appearance of camera shake for sharper shooting at slower shutter speeds.
