    I bought 2 for the weather station because it is old (the materials have weakened over the years from the sun) and it is also high up to catch the air better, so I don't have to change batteries every 1-2 years (depending on the battery) going up/down, attaching/detaching the station...

    The batteries had 1.91 volts when new and I thought everything was fine... after about 12 months, the station stopped working, I took it down and one battery was at 1.73v, the other at 0.30v... clearly a material failure... while lithium technology is good (higher voltage, lightweight, better resistance to heat and cold, much longer lifespan than alkaline batteries), one still had enough power, and the other one failed...

    I had seen similar reviews on Amazon, but I thought that for 2 batteries I wouldn't have any issues... AND YET I DID... the Duracell Power Plus lasted about 1 and a half years in the same station...

    I will look for lithium again (because in some cases they are worth the money and depending on the need), but I will never go for Varta again... I would give it 1 star, but indeed lithium technology is good because one lasted just 0.20 volts after about 1 year
