Written during the dictatorship, "Back When We Lived" is an act of resistance and at the same time an apology of the generation of Asimakis Panselinos (1903 - 1984). Asimakis Panselinos recalls his life knowing that one lives in the era when they struggle for something better, the era when they fulfill their duty as a citizen and as a human being towards their fellow citizens and towards the people of their country and the whole world. His memories are his last effort to fight again, his offering. Memory must be preserved, survive, and become the yeast for the generations that follow and have their own battles to fight.
