It requires assembly. It's not particularly difficult, but you will need to pay close attention to the photos in the instructions; it's definitely not a blind assembly. Once assembled correctly, it is a very stable, particularly sturdy, and very high-quality table (for the cost). Don't rush to judge it when you see its parts; it is very well designed and becomes rock solid. Be careful with any screws that go into wood; don't overtighten them. Also, at least for me, a set of four holes that catch in the wood were not pre-drilled, so I used the electric screwdriver to put the screws in directly.
