Excellent! Waterproof fabric on the top side, cotton on the bottom. It wipes easily after meals with a simple sponge or you can rinse it with water if you prefer. It has been very convenient for me as it is long and wide enough, which means it fits perfectly for a wide range of ages. The attached string also helps with securing it. It also has a pocket at the bottom where food falls and it doesn't dirty the child's clothes. I recommend it.
