I have only 2 negatives to say about the camera ... it doesn't have a good microphone and the second negative is that for the camera to record all day and to loop, you need to subscribe.
Average image and even worse in the dark. Very short event recording time on the card that doesn't allow you to increase it. You have to subscribe to Xiaomi's cloud for longer videos.
DOES NOT support NAS for those interested in this function and is NOT YET supported by the Xiaomi Camera Viewer app on PC due to XIAOMI's laziness in not updating it... last test: 6/8/2024! Caution. As a camera, it is very clear and good in its operation and easy!
The camera is fantastic. The build quality and image quality are very good, not just clear but exceptional.
Installation is a piece of cake, as the box contains everything from screws and anchors to a sticker, which is placed on the wall or ceiling where you want to install it, and simply make the holes in the marked positions of the sticker. (The 2 rear holes out of the 4 have a margin of error of 3-4 centimeters, which makes installation even easier.
It can accept a network cable in the special Fis, suitable for outdoor use (offers waterproofing), while there is also the option of WiFi networking.
The management program is now just fantastic. You set an initial position on the camera and when it detects human movement or anything else, it tracks that object within its range, then returns to the initial position you have set.
During this process, you can set the built-in spotlight to turn on in the direction of the detected movement, as well as have a voice message of detection, or either one of the two, whichever you choose.
The motion detection process is set by the user, whether they want the camera to be activated with simple movement or only for human presence, as well as the sensitivity level, which is very important in the case of activation with any movement, as it avoids unnecessary activation by insects etc., especially outdoors.
Also very important is the ability to choose the time of activation between two different motion detection events, for example, the initial limit is set at 30 seconds, so if there is a second motion detection within less than 30 seconds, the camera will not send a second notification.
It accepts SD cards up to 256GB (purchase a fast one like Sandisk Extreme Pro SDXC 256GB Class 10 U3 V30 UHS-I), where you will store many days of videos in a loop (a 256GB card holds about 27 days of videos in 2.5K resolution!!!), meaning if, for example, the card being inserted stores a week's worth of video, at the end of the seventh day it will overwrite the first of the previous week to record the eighth one. So apart from the short video clips it sends to your phone from each motion detection, you will be able to see what it has recorded.
There is also the option to subscribe to Xiaomi, so for 5 euros a month, video of a week is stored, or for 7 euros a month, in the Cloud. A second camera can also be connected at a reduced cost.

For notifications, especially in crowded areas such as entrances to apartment buildings, this time should be set at 10'' or 5'', which is also the duration of the notification videos, in order to capture every movement.
The type of notifications is good to be adjusted for humans and not any movement because it will even capture mosquitoes!
It can also be programmed to be inactive at certain hours and not send notifications.
