The mobile is truly a beast, it doesn't lag anywhere and incredibly fast. Awesome screen with perfect resolution. The battery is more than satisfactory and the photos are really good!!
A jewel in my hands simply. I had the OP 10 Pro in green and switched to the OP 12 with 12GB RAM and 256GB in black color. The 10 didn't have any issues, I just made a change. It's incredible in every aspect. In my opinion, if you're changing your phone, it's better to do it every 2 years with OP. It's a huge upgrade, especially the cameras that finally compete with Samsung and Apple. The rest has been said by others.
I bought this device (16GB/512GB) a month ago.
Being already the owner of an excellent OnePlus 6 since 2018, I decided to make this transition. Amazing phone, excellent build quality, screen, incredible battery, very good camera. The only thing that bothered me a little is that this new version of OnePlus' Android has nothing to do with the excellent old OxygenOS, without of course this creating any problem. On the contrary, it is very lightweight, customizable, and functional.
I am absolutely satisfied and highly recommend this device...
The Flagship Killer has returned. Former owner of the s24 ultra. Same battery, better grip, lighter weight, faster, better photos, incredible charging... One plus 12 with closed eyes! Oh, and much cheaper. And better screen than the s24. Amazing phone!
Excellent mobile phone from OnePlus, it really "blows". I have no complaints about the phone. Very good photos - videos for my own requirements, excellent battery and the screen is really amazing. It was purchased from China for €650, compared to the €900 it costs here. I believe that even at this price it is still worth it, but personally I wouldn't pay that much. There are no disadvantages with the European version, it came with OxygenOS, supports all bands and even works with Android Auto. The only thing that doesn't work is the eSIM. If there is someone who wants the device but finds the €900 too much, they should consider buying it from there.
Received today with a quick look! As for the phone, all the comments are true, amazing phone, a gem! The only thing I will mention is that in the new delivery there is no charger in the package (22-3-2024). Regarding the phone, I will update in the coming days.
Update 1: In a quick search in other stores, there is no charger in the new deliveries, so we are looking at 50+ euros. (A more affordable one is available on the official Oneplus website)
Update 2: I am very satisfied with my choice, I was torn between the Honor magic 6 and this one, and I made the right choice in the end. Amazing speed, great screen, you can see perfectly even in the sun. The speaker lacks a bit. The battery is great, I stopped carrying a Powerbank with me. I am sure it will last me a day with demanding use and I won't have to worry about the battery. I am waiting for the charger from the official site, until then I am charging it with a Xiaomi fast charger. Photos and videos are almost perfect for me. It will definitely get better with each upgrade. I am deducting one star because of the missing charger in the package. One last thing, the call quality is not great, I was walking on the street with noise, etc. and the person I was talking to couldn't hear anything around me, but I could hear them perfectly.
Update 3: In the negatives, I want to add that after demanding use, the battery doesn't last a day, I have to charge it again. It might improve over time. However, a very positive aspect is that the camera is crystal clear, and it has nothing to envy from the S24 Ultra. I am attaching a photo.
Update 4: After almost a month, I have to say that it is the best choice in its category for a mobile phone. It has nothing to envy from either iPhone or Samsung. To all my friends considering one of the above, I urge them to change their minds and go for the Oneplus 12. It really has nothing to envy. On the official Oneplus website, there is an official upgrade to Android 15 beta 2. It solves many problems in both the software and other minor issues. Before you spend 1200+ euros, consider the Oneplus 12.
I am doing the review after a month of use.
I dare to appreciate that it is the best all-round phone in its series.
It has very fast response and flawless screen, which may only lose to the S24 Ultra due to glossiness. Also, extremely good haptics.
Very strong battery that with tests from 100% to 5% lasts 30 hours with relatively demanding use and recharges in 25 minutes.
Also, very good sound, in headphones and playback from the speaker.
OxygenOS is a very clean and fast operating system, as close to pure Android as one could hope for.
Its camera is very good. Not the best on the market, for sure, but definitely commendable for flagship level. I did not experience the initial phase where some had complaints about it, but with the updated software, the performance is as I describe. The hardware is there, and it is up to the company to make the most of it with the software. The colors have the best performance I have seen, perhaps due to Hasselblad. All this without the AI additions that iPhones, S24 Ultra, and Pixels have.
Some pros/cons that personally impressed me:
Its body is beautiful (Green Emerald) but the sandblasted glass is quite slippery in my hand. Of course, it is permanently in a case, which only comes out for a few brief moments of enjoyment.
The slider switch for Silent/Vibrate/Sound mode is an excellent innovation by OnePlus and it is good to see it back. I would expect other companies to adopt it as well.
The infrared beam that has replaced all home and office remote controls has served me perfectly and makes you wonder why it wasn't on smartphones for so many years.
Its typical features give IP65 and not IP68, yet it works flawlessly with a wet screen, and I want to believe that no one wants to risk putting their phone in water anyway.
In conclusion, the OP12 is a regular flagship (not a killer) that now compares very comfortably with the other big companies, and surpasses them in many categories.
Its official price in Europe (€1150) is unreasonably disproportionate to that in the US (€899) for the 16/512 model, however, the €1030 when I bought it and the €940 now as I write the review (03/05/2024) are definitely very attractive compared to the €1300 of the S24 Ultra and the €1500 of the 15 Pro Max, and the price difference is worth it in my opinion.
Even more so if you buy it with VAT exemption.
Slightly off-topic postscript:
I really appreciate that OP releases a flagship (and a mid and a fold now) and not fifteen variations, simple, pro, max, ultra, super duper, etc. just to sell and focuses on its work.
Owner of the device for about 15 days since I make the evaluation coming from the previous model 1+ 11
- Screen greatly improved especially in brightness which was an issue with the 11 under the sun overall excellent in this area
- Sound quite good with good volume very good quality but I consider the 11 was slightly better anyway it remains awesome
- Build quality as it should be and for my taste quite beautiful design especially in green
- Camera improvement in zoom great compared to the 11 ok not the best compared to other flagships as it does it digitally but quite powerful considering the proportions and does a great job even in 15X and above if the lighting is good where it fails is in night shots that require a lot of work and to be honest disappointing as the 11 after several updates had reached a good level that the 12 is not yet even though it has technically better hardware....
In good lighting, however, it is greatly improved with better exposure and hdr in general but at night it still needs work without being unacceptable of course...
- Overall I consider that from the 11 the 12 is not a huge leap, it is definitely improved especially in areas such as the screen finally has wireless charging etc.... I would of course like it to have better water and dust certification but obviously it was done for cost reasons by the company to keep the price somewhat lower than the competition so if you don't mind having the latest flagship from 1+ those of you who have the 11 sit back and wait for its price to drop a bit anyway....
Overall, if someone is considering it, it is a very good choice as a whole that will surely enjoy it unless they want the ultimate in camera which at least the device does not give it to the fullest nor do I believe that 1+ in general will reach the ultimate in the category but remains at very good levels
Finally, my beloved OnePlus has returned and so have I, after years of not getting a OnePlus since the 8T. I lost it because the company lost its way, but now it has returned with a phone that has nothing to envy from any other phone. I sold my S24 Ultra, and I can tell you that this phone is flawless in EVERYTHING. For some reason, OnePlus works wonders in the performance of the phone. When I have a OnePlus and then switch to another phone, it feels like a snail with potatoes in terms of speed (especially iPhones). Great screen, amazing sound, rocket speed, long-lasting battery, impeccable build quality, and finally, a tip... Do not charge your phone with fast chargers, it damages the battery. Keep the fast charger for emergencies and when time is not an issue, charge your phone with slow charging (45w) max.
I will start by saying that this is the second time I purchase a oneplus! My first experience was with the excellent nord, the first nord! I won't talk about all the advantages because they have all been written! I will talk about something that I have noticed and it has to do with the battery! I charge my phone with my previous charger (which takes a long time, of course) but I have noticed that the battery lasts much longer with slow charging! It easily lasts 2 days, while with fast charging it lasts a day and something! The usage is the same every day with a completely repetitive routine! The difference is huge! Whoever has the old oneplus charger should try it and write to me! Otherwise, for me, the phone is a weapon! Tremendous in everything! I should mention that I got it with a pre-order and headphones as a gift! Perfect combination!
Very good value for money, very fast, doesn't freeze anywhere, photos and videos with amazing resolution. The screen resolution is also amazing, one of the best on the market. The battery lasts for many hours and charges in 25 minutes.
First time OnePlus owner and that's because I always chose Huawei but due to the bans, I went for this device... high quality with a very good camera, a screen from another planet, charging in 20 minutes from 25%, it doesn't lag anywhere, sturdy construction with perfect design... whoever wants it and is considering it, should get it yesterday
I have had this phone for the last month. I use it for typical - simple tasks, and so far I have been impressed by the battery life, both in terms of duration and how quickly it charges. In terms of performance, the phone has not frozen at any point, but as I mentioned, I use it for typical tasks (emails, browsing, Spotify, YouTube, etc). Regarding the camera, I am satisfied overall. I believe the price should be around 800 euros.
The device arrived in my hands through the company I work for because it belongs to them. Oneplus impressed me with the Oneplus 11 that I had. I was absolutely sure that it would do a perfect job again and indeed it did. The device's aesthetics are unique. Its screen is something else with clear and true colors. The SD 8 Gen 3 is incredibly fast without any lag. The sound, although of excellent quality, is inferior in terms of volume compared to its predecessor. Its photographic abilities are something else. Of course, it cannot be compared to the photographic level of the Samsung s23 ultra or the Samsung s24 ultra and Apple, but they are unique. It's not easy for a smartphone to be among the top five cameras on the market. And let's not forget the difference in price. The videos are incredible and all I can say is that you will be amazed. Now, as for charging, it's really funny how fast it is. Congratulations to Oneplus for this beast that proves that the company has entered the competition of giants for good. It will not disappoint anyone, so I highly recommend buying it without a second thought.
Words are unnecessary, it has nothing to envy from Samsung and iPhone. Its camera is truly incredible and the phone itself is very fast. The screen is flawless and the design is a perfect 10 out of 10. I highly recommend it without reservation, and the vibration mechanism, which has impressed me, is very good
I wanted to share with you some thoughts before my evaluation and I completely exclude foldables from this discussion. I also exclude the purchase value of each device. And I will only talk about the flagship category. From what I have been following daily in the past weeks on YouTube channels...
The Samsung Ultra and Apple's Pro series are a category on their own. They cannot be compared to any other phone essentially, not even between themselves, I would say they can be compared for the simple reason that they are devices that touch perfection in all areas, they have the whole package for the most demanding user, so essentially someone would choose one over the other for two main reasons which are both clearly subjective. The first reason is for the software and the second reason is for the design. They are top-tier flagship smartphones, in the end. I say this because everywhere I see comparisons between the OP12 and the 24 Ultra mainly and the iPhone 15 Pro series. And of course, it is worth comparing with these devices, it does not essentially lack anywhere (okay, it doesn't have an S Pen and AI features), but here the price comes into play...
Now if someone wants to compare the OP12 with the Samsung Ultra and Apple's Pro, they should first wonder what phones the two companies would release if their initial selling price was the same as that of the OP12, or the exact opposite, because with this price gap between them, I believe that the choice of purchase for someone (I refer to 95%+ of the buying public) is easy and I mean the OP12 of course.
Beyond that, we find the regular flagship category where we have the simple Apple series, the rest of the phones in the S series from Samsung, the Google, all the Chinese and the rest.
The OP12 is clearly a flagship device and one of the best if not the best of all in this category.
I have been the owner of the device for two weeks now, it is the first OP I have ever had, the immediately previous one I had was the Apple 14 series, before that Xiaomi 12 series and even before that Samsung S series.
I am a heavy and demanding user, I would say, and since I have used several devices from the top shelf of many well-known companies in the past, I can say that the first samples I have from the device are for 6 stars and above. However, since I have to comply with the scoring limits of the Scrutinizer application, for me it is clearly a five-star rating! And I don't say this because I haven't found any flaws. I have found some. I have read in previous reviews about some complaints. Respectable. But I will not dwell on them at all because I consider them insignificant compared to what this device offers as a whole. Personally, and after using it for several hours daily for these two weeks that I have had it in my possession, what I have to say is that for the average user who has this money to buy it, it is a perfect phone in all its aspects.

Very good grip in hand with or without a case.
Excellent screen from every aspect.
Excellent battery life of 2 days for average use.
Incredibly fast charging to a ridiculous degree.
Excellent temperature management, the phone is always cool.
Very good cameras (I am not a photographer).

Just to give an example, at the moment I am writing this, I have 41 recent apps open.
The software is incredibly fast, light, smooth as it gets in 99% of cases, pleasant to use with many options that enhance the user experience. You have the desire to explore it.
It is a device that you enjoy using.
It is a device that one can keep for many years.
Negatively, I would say there are mainly two things.
First, the phone's screen is not adequately protected by any back case due to its curvature.
Also, if you put a back case, it may detach the screen protector, so I recommend using the genuine OnePlus case, which I have no problem with so far.
Second, I do not know what coverage (meaning inconvenience) I will have in case there is a problem with the device since as far as I know, they only come from Kotsovolos, which gets them directly from the supplier and is not covered by any other representative in Greece.
If I find anything else noteworthy, positive or negative, I will come back!

The device has an excellent design, perfect screen with good brightness and colors, very good main and selfie camera, perfect connectivity, and very good speaker. Overall, the hardware is top-notch.
On the other hand, the software (Oxygen 14) needs some work as it presents an issue with delays when making fast movements (touching and scrolling). There is a small delay of about 2 seconds in the system launcher and system menus, which means that when you make fast movements and don't leave about 2 seconds per touch, the touch doesn't register and you have to press again to give the same command. It means that it misses touches in fast movements, which is unacceptable for a device with such specs. This can be quite annoying at times, and that's why I give it 4 stars. If it doesn't improve with future updates, I will come back to change the rating to either worse or better.

The phone has top-notch hardware, a very good camera and battery, a fantastic screen with all the bells and whistles (Dolby Vision, etc.) and is very high quality in its construction.
It is also very fast under certain conditions.
And I explain immediately. The phone has a slight delay when making "fast" movements, e.g. swiping from bottom to top and then closing an application, it does not recognize the swipe to close the application but you have to do it twice.
In general, anyone who uses their phone with fast, mechanical movements will understand what I am saying.
This is the only reason I remove 1 star. If this issue is fixed with an update, then 5 stars easily.
Upgrade from oneplus 10 pro. Holding the phone in your hands you realize that it is the highest quality device from oneplus to date. I don't want to mention the excellent features of the device as those who are about to purchase it already know them, but I will focus on some points that need improvement. The fingerprint sensor is not always on point. Finally, the camera software needs a little work, especially the selfie camera, as the retouching it uses after taking the photo is a bit excessive
Excellent device that gives you reasons to upgrade even from its predecessor, the OnePlus 11, as it has several additions that you wouldn't want to miss.
