It is a softshell membrane which means that it is not like other softshells that also have a very thin fleece inside like the Columbia softshell I have. However, it looks very high quality and with a fleece inside it can be transformed into a fall, maybe even a little winter jacket, depending on the fleece. I definitely wouldn't recommend it for winter since it is too thin, but for all other seasons it is excellent. The fit is regular.
