The hoya or wax plant (Hoya carnosa) is an evergreen climbing or trailing epiphyte suitable for cultivation in a pot. It can reach a great height, but to climb, it needs support as it does not have its own special organs. The Hoya has dark green leaves, which are fleshy and oval, while its exceptionally attractive flowers, whitish and star-shaped, appear in corymbs towards the end of spring, lasting until autumn. It is an easy-to-cultivate succulent, however, with good watering and intensive fertilization, its flowering increases and its appearance becomes more attractive.
