I have the previous model for 6 years now and it still works perfectly. It has been very helpful for fishing, which is when I need it the most. Even though it is not rechargeable, I found out that it can withstand rechargeable batteries, and that solved the problem. I don't feel any weight after 6 hours of fishing, and it is very convenient that you can adjust the brightness intensity from the back without having to press the button 3 or 4 times like other flashlights that also have SOS mode, which for me is unnecessary and annoying. If it ever breaks during its lifetime, I will buy the new one so that I don't have to take out the batteries for charging. Otherwise, I will be patient until the next one
The lens is very advanced compared to others, the truth is that it has zoom and dimmer - 2 very basic functions that will help you in any situation. Also, besides its rechargeable battery, it also takes regular alkaline batteries, so you won't run out. Tip: It has 2 power consumption settings - energy saving and constant current, which means it either operates at full power without voltage drop or gradually decreases voltage as the battery drains. It is comfortable, lightweight, and relatively well-made. The battery compartment cover on the back is not heavy, but you can feel its bulkiness when wearing it. There are 3 things I don't like about the lens: firstly, the battery compartment cover is made of very hard plastic, making it difficult to open and close, and there is a high chance of it breaking at the locking point. Secondly, the USB port has a rubber cover that does not fit securely, and there is a risk of water entering if it comes off since it is located high on the right side. Thirdly, I would like it to remember the dimmer setting or at least have an intermediate mode with half the lumens, instead of just high and low. So, keep in mind that in order to have intermediate lighting from the 200 lumens it provides on high (not the short-duration 300 lumens boost), you have to turn the wheel on the back to dim it each time. It would be good to have a sturdy case included at this price because this particular flashlight needs it, as the rear wheel button, despite the lock feature, emits signals with red illumination every time it is pressed (and it is easily pressed), indicating some energy consumption. If you happen to forget to activate the lock during transportation and accidentally press it, you will consume energy. Therefore, any hard carrying case would be useful.
