The NC3174 is made from high-quality materials. The material on the floor is waterproof, so wet sand won't be a problem.  The tent uses technology to prevent overheating. This is very important, especially on hot days when seeking shelter in a tent is supposed to provide relief from high temperatures. The tent also has a coating that protects against UV rays.
