The stroller came in 2 "batches". The second one (the new one) stands out because of the characteristic leatherette in front of the fabric where the baby's feet rest.
Due to having twins, we have bought 2 of these strollers, one from each "batch". While the first one has been in use for several months and seems to hold up well, I would say that it is quite durable. However, the second one (the new batch, I remind you) started falling apart within two months.. yes, that early. One strap tore from its base, the fabric at the bottom started to open up, revealing the foam inside.. if I put them side by side, you would say that the old one has been mistreated while the second one is brand new. And yet, it is the second one that started to come apart at the seams..
It has much more "fake" straps than the first one.. overall, even though it looks nicer in terms of fabric, everything indicates that it is much less durable in practice.
We were informed by the store where we bought it that Kikka Boo does not provide a warranty for the fabrics.. they say they will do their best to replace it for us. We are just waiting for the results they will receive from the company, hopefully they will be positive for us. However, I will not tolerate it if they are negative.
It has the positive aspects mentioned by other users for sure, but also quite a few negatives. Apart from the poor quality I mentioned in the new ones, both "batches" have a joint that I attach in the picture and is located in a spot where your baby's head will hit it several times. It is unacceptable for something like this to happen in 2023..
The only thing for sure is that I would not buy it again despite its few positive features, as there are so many negatives that, in my opinion, make it a bad stroller and a wasted 150 euros.. I am certain that even the new fabric that will come (if it does come) will present the same issue again, and even at the same time..
Edit: It has been 1.5 months now and we have not received a response regarding the replacement of the fabric. The local store where we bought it obviously cannot be blamed, and Bulgarian Kikka Boo (no trace of racism in mentioning the origin on my part) has not given us a single answer regarding the problematic fabric in the stroller we bought and used for less than 2 months - while it remains unused (since the straps were destroyed) for another 1.5 months.
Even if they eventually cover it, I personally declare myself completely dissatisfied with the way the problem was handled. If I didn't have the double stroller for the twins, I would have already had to buy another stroller to replace the problematic Cloe - imagine a baby not being able to go for a walk in a stroller for such a long time..
Terrible customer service, there is no chance I would recommend this company again for anything.
And finally, it seems now that you get what you pay for in the end.
New update (hopefully the last one): our fabric was delivered to us for free on 05/10/23 after a great effort made by the store (at least that's what they told us) to have it sent by Kikka Boo. I was pleased to see that the new cover has stronger straps for the baby, noticeably thicker than the ones the stroller had when we bought it. I hope it will hold up now at least.
In the meantime, after all this waiting and with uncertainty about whether they would send us a new cover to replace the defective one, I would not say that I am a satisfied customer with the purchase of this specific stroller and especially with the treatment by Kikka Boo. "The warranty does not cover the fabric" is a ridiculous response when we are talking about a baby stroller. And yes, they eventually agreed to replace it for us - waiting for over 1.5 months cannot be considered "good customer service" for something so essential for a baby, especially during the summer months when daily walks are necessary, right?
Let's hope at least that we were the only case that something like this happened to. For better or worse, take a closer look at the straps before you buy it and try to assess their durability over time.
