  I wouldn't say it has particularly good sound for music, maybe if you listen to electronic music but for Jazz and Rock it's not the best. It lacks a lot in the high drums. With a cheap amplifier and two decent speakers, you will have better results.

  Purchased in May 2024, on sale (€819.00) and it has impressed me with its capabilities!
  It must be one of the top soundbars on the market, if not the best, not to mention that it doesn't require any cables at all since both the peripheral speakers and the subwoofer are completely wireless (you just plug them in and they sync automatically).

  With a price offer of 799 at some big stores is a one-way street. Even the new 990D doesn't have any substantial difference and with a cost of 1500+ it makes it unprofitable. You miss out on Dolby Atmos. With some settings that need to be done through the SmartThings app, even on music it is really very remarkable. If you have it in a detached house and play a little louder, literally now you have a better experience than cinema. With closed eyes and open ears :D

  I'm not the kind of person to sit and do advertising..........but Public and Plaisio have it for 799!!
  I just got it and set it up.
  Words are unnecessary. There are a ton of videos and reviews for this soundbar and they are all spot on!!
  Powerful, clear, with detail in the sound and bass..............you feel it inside you!
  For its price..........there's nothing like it!

  For some I read here regarding the sound in music:
  Please, guys, let's compare similar things. It's not possible to compare it with stereo speakers or systems that are specialized for that!!
  Also, be very careful with the TV settings using the Samsung app. Because I fell for it too: I had set the adaptive mode in the app and the TV switched to its own profile on the soundbar by itself, resulting in not getting the sound I wanted and having to figure out what happened!! I found it by chance!
  Nevertheless, the sound in music, and I will really write this based on my own impressions: Detail, clarity, bass, full sound with all........ALL frequencies (proven in many reviews). I also realized that the source of the sound plays a big role, whether it's YouTube, CD, MP3, etc. Whatever you give it, it will play.

  After several months of research, I came to the conclusion that a Dolby Atmos 11.1.4 Soundbar would serve me excellently for what I wanted to satisfy in terms of movies and music. So, the choice of the Samsung Q990C 11.1.4 was the only way to go.
  Connection via HDMI eARC, a few settings, and it was ready for action. All the speakers connected automatically to each other and I never noticed any loss of connection. The sound intensity is quite powerful, so most of the time it doesn't need to exceed 30-40%.
  In terms of music, streaming from SPOTIFY that I tried, it performs decently. The Dolby Atmos is exceptional. At one point while watching a movie at low volume in the evening, I thought someone was behind me in the next room. I was shocked at how naturally the sounds were coming from the surround speakers.
  It has excellent aesthetics and, of course, you are saved from the nightmare of cables. Finally, I would like to emphasize that the Samsung application provided for this Soundbar is excellent and very easy to use.
  An outstanding choice for lovers of multi-channel and not just sound.

  Replaced my 5.1 system with a YAMAHA amplifier 9X140W, floorstanding speakers, rear dipoles, and a 12-inch 600W subwoofer, due to the Wife Acceptance Factor (WAF). After the necessary adjustments, I can say that it stands up well next to a system with an AV receiver. It is perfect for movies (surround sound option) and quite satisfying for music (customized settings). The fact that it stands up well next to systems with triple the power is truly remarkable. If you have a TV without HDMI eARC but with ARC, like me (LG 65 OLED from 2017), then use an HDMI eARC switch NEDIS ACON that is available on the market (of course, with HDMI 2.1 cables) in order to experience the uncompressed impressive sound formats of dtsX and Dolby Atmos (if supported by the media player or TV BOX you are using). Especially Atmos is extremely impressive with the four channels that hit the ceiling, the sound literally comes from everywhere. If you properly adjust the settings, the soundbar will display the ATMOS or dtsX signal on its own, otherwise press the info button twice to see the current sound format. Download the app on your mobile phone, make the necessary adjustments for subwoofer and bass amplification, clear voice amplification, etc., and enjoy freely! It works perfectly with everything and you can use just one remote control, either from the TV box or the TV itself. So far, I haven't experienced any interruptions in the wireless connection of the speakers, and every day that passes impresses me positively. It definitely doesn't have the sound body of a system with an amplifier, especially in the bass, but for a living room, it is just right, it has infinitely fewer settings, takes up less space, looks cute, and finally, no more cables everywhere and it fits everywhere. And above all, it can create an earthquake on your couch...

  Atmos bar without rear speakers, it's not atmos. This specific one is the top bar after the Nakamichi Dragon 11.4.6 which, however, costs 3500€. The bar surpasses audiophile systems with amplifiers, etc.
  Even at high volume, the sound remains crystal clear, while the bass has incredible lows. Even in scenes with explosions, helicopters, etc., the dialogues are heard perfectly clear. As for the negatives, it has Alexa, but I couldn't find a solution with Google Home and Chromecast. It has Spotify but not Tidal, and the Samsung SmartView is not the best application.

  Searching for a home cinema or a soundbar for quite some time, after a lot of research and countless reviews, I ended up with this soundbar with the 2 built-in speakers. I was torn between Sonos and this one... but Sonos is considerably more expensive.
  The soundbar paired through HDMI ARC as a friend mentioned below, in order to have DOLBY ATMOS, etc., and not through Wi-Fi.
  The TV I have is the LG 60 NANOCELL TV - 60SJ850V and it pairs immediately as soon as I turn it on without making any movements (only the first time during the setup when you select the audio output).
  The reason for purchasing it is clearly for movies and a bit of music. The first test was with the movie The Nun downloaded in Dolby Digital sound. At 24% volume, it was playing so loudly that I thought the plasterboard would come off the ceiling and the windows would break... Of course, you don't go above 30% in an apartment because logically the neighbor will come in 10 minutes to complain.
  In terms of music, it sounds really nice even though I'm not familiar with it. The app is flawless and you can control everything from your mobile phone.
  In terms of aesthetics, words are unnecessary...
  I believe it's the best you can buy for this price range, as it has nothing to envy from a very expensive home cinema.

  I preferred the 990c because compared to its predecessor, it doesn't have the speaker disconnection issues. Although they are essentially the same models, they differ only in firmware. The company chose to fix the firmware and only include it in the new model, so I paid extra to avoid these problems. Otherwise, they are the same. It brings the cinema experience to your home when watching movies and also works well with gaming consoles, providing excellent sound quality. The only thing I wasn't thrilled about is when playing music, but we can't have everything. The machine is primarily intended for movies with Dolby Atmos. The connection is very easy, and it can be connected to other TV brands as long as they have HDMI ARC or eARC. Now, regarding the wireless connection, it claims to be better, but I believe using a cable is preferable, although that's a matter of personal preference. It also has additional features like Q Symphony for Samsung TVs. I have an LG TV, so I'm limited in that aspect, although I've heard that the new model sometimes has disconnection issues, but only with Q Symphony, while I haven't encountered any problems with the other features like the old model had with my LG TV. That's why I paid extra and chose it. Overall, for those who are movie enthusiasts, you will greatly enjoy it considering the money you spent and what it offers in its category as a soundbar. Finally, a joking comment, I hope you have good relations with your neighbors and that the sound doesn't bother them. Lastly, for those who have an LG C1 or above, you will need to connect the cable to HDMI 2, which is the only eARC port, enable eARC from the TV menu, and when it's displayed on the soundbar, you'll be ready to go.
