[...] This book has been designed for use as a textbook in a typical linear algebra course or as a supplement to other textbooks. Its goal is to provide an introduction to linear algebra that will be useful to all readers, regardless of their specialization. It includes more material than can be covered in introductory courses. This was done to make the book more flexible, to serve as a reference, and to generate interest in the subject.

Each chapter begins with clear statements of relevant definitions, principles, and theorems, along with instructional and descriptive material. This is followed by graded categories of solved and additional problems. The solved problems are intended to illustrate and clarify the theory, as well as to provide a review of the basic principles, which are vital for effective learning. Among the solved problems, proofs are presented, particularly for all the fundamental theorems. The additional problems are intended to supplement the material covered at the end of each chapter.
