Description

The Earth is invaded by an eerie radiation that mutates psychic tears into toxic ones. Anyone who cries from intense joy or sorrow loses their eyes. All fundamental principles are shaken and eventually collapse, while the remaining people view memories as a possible threat and live in isolation.

Alice Wondert, a girl born after the radiation, eagerly travels to the Prison - the safest place in the New Era. However, she must first make a stop for the funeral of an unknown woman, her mother. On the train, she meets a mysterious man, Albert, who reveals that he knew her mother since childhood and proposes to share an old, shared memory. Alice, although strictly forbidden by law, succumbs to temptation and accepts. Before she realizes it, another, better world is revealed before her eyes. She remains amazed, but soon realizes that she is in danger...
