Alice Wondert, a girl born after the radiation, eagerly travels to the Prison - the safest place in the New Era. However, she must first make a stop for the funeral of an unknown woman, her mother. On the train, she meets a mysterious man, Albert, who reveals that he knew her mother since childhood and proposes to share an old, shared memory.
