It seems that my ants were very selective. I have very small ones on my balcony, about 1-2 millimeters at most, but they are black and not yellow or reddish, like the Pharaoh ants. I had tried many natural methods before, without success.
Last time, I had used a mixture of honey and baking soda for several days, in equal proportions (because the sugar-soda mixture didn't attract them). It significantly reduced their numbers, but didn't make them disappear.
I tried the gel, they came, smelled it, and made a detour.
I thought about mixing it with honey half and half. They ate it, but not with much enthusiasm.
For three days, they were gone (I didn't find any dead ones outside), but it seems like they had declared a three-day mourning or that the mixture caused them indigestion and they were waiting to recover. Then they came back. I tried again, without seeing any significant difference.
I thought about conducting an experiment. I left a piece of chicken skin outside the exit point and they immediately gathered around it. I put a drop of gel on top, hoping they would eat it, but they disappeared immediately!!!
After a few days, I tried another bait (Raid's), which they also didn't approach, and I mixed it with honey. I found some dead ones.
Now, I alternate between the different methods and I can say that the ones circulating outside are few, but I don't know what's happening inside the nest, and I also don't know which of the three methods had the best result. I also don't know what will happen in a few days and if their queen has died, which is the desired outcome.
I have been trying for more than 20 days in total.

While they had almost disappeared in the previous days, I put honey again as bait outside their nest and I saw that they started gathering again.
However, I noticed that most of them were very small. Very few adults were present. So, the larger ones must have died.

In my case, I have big blonde ants in the bathroom.. Every year at this time I had a big problem.... I started applying the gel in central points... Effective, but finishes quickly and MUCH more expensive than the BASF Amulet that served me better and which I recommend more than this one (Try to find the ants' nest and make them disappear).

There were 3 nests in the house Without even knowing it, after a renovation, they entered through holes quite all summer..

I suddenly had a huge problem with ants in the house while having two children, and even the tiniest crumb would attract them. I couldn't keep up with them no matter what. Simply awesome, those who say it didn't work are not doing it right.
First of all, it is for indoor ants, not for the garden. You put a drop near the ant line and you're done. As soon as one finds it, it signals the others, they eat it, faint, and then when they wake up, they take it to the nest and that's how the queen dies. In a week, they are all dead.

Well... The kitchen was filled with our little friends.. Well, since I see in the comments that you are using it incorrectly and evaluating it negatively, I will explain some things to you.
The expiration date plays a very important role.
You place the product where you know ants pass by.
You ONLY put one drop in each spot. You can put it in multiple spots to make sure it reaches every nest.
Not all individuals from each nest need to come into contact with it. Just one from each nest is enough to kill the queen and dissolve the nest.
After some time, new generations may appear. Repeat the process.
The best application is for a maximum of 24 hours. After that, clean up and you will have 100% results.

I just got it in my hands and emptied the first tube all around. There are areas where the ants bypass it, but at a specific point it has become a trap in 5 minutes. I attach a photo as well. I don't know what will happen. My problem is tragic, I am on the 3rd floor and at some point I thought they would find me unconscious covered in ants. I have tried vinegar, chlorine, dettol, and insecticides, but they were all very temporary. If this solution doesn't work either, I honestly don't know what I will do. Have the herpes become so immune? Maybe it's because for a year and a half now, with so many disinfectants in our spaces, they have become more resistant, what can I say.
Update after 35 hours of application: Only 3 nests were affected. The rest of the house, even though I filled it with bait, had no results at all. One nest was not fully eradicated, I saw some very small ants coming out from the crack right next to it.
Because the bait is extremely toxic to aquatic organisms, in order not to wipe it off, I am now using disinfectants and gloves, and I am cleaning the areas where I have placed it with paper, so that I can throw them away in the trash afterwards.
I thought about stocking up on these specific areas one by one.

Unfortunately, while at first the ants would try it, now they pass it as if they know it's poison, and the strangest thing is that if you put food near the bait (close, up to half a meter) and I emphasize close, not mixed with the bait, they don't pay attention to that food either.
Reevaluation, in the end it left nothing, I didn't see any ants in general, don't put a large quantity, prefer the small package, a few drops are enough, but it takes about a week to see results. I hope I helped.
