As their lives intersect – in bustling markets and underground clubs, in churches and hotel rooms – these vagabonds are possessed and challenged by spirits that govern the city's dark energy.
Whether they are running to escape danger, meeting secret lovers, finding their identity, or conquering their shadows, Osunde's characters confront and support one another, before being led to the one gathering in their lives, which gives the book an unexpectedly joyful conclusion.
