But Piranesi is not discouraged: by methodically observing the tide, he measures time based on its periodicity. His task is to tirelessly explore the labyrinth of the House and record its contents. It is his life's work. But he is not the only person in the House; there is also the Other. The Other visits twice a week and is updated on the progress of the research. However, when this research reveals the existence of another person, a new, terrifying reality begins to emerge - the reality of another world, beyond the world Piranesi knew.
