The instant water heater is a type of water heater that heats water in real-time. It heats only the water that passes through it at that moment. There is no hot water storage tank. This has many advantages, such as energy savings, since only the water that is used is heated, and longer lifespan, as there is no water tank and no accumulation of salts in the resistance and other components.

It operates with electricity and is single-phase.

The instant water heater has an inlet pipe for cold water, which passes through the heating element, gets heated, and exits through the hot water outlet pipe. A necessary condition for the instant water heater to initially operate is the pressure of the incoming cold water must not be too low.

The water temperature is regulated by a thermostat so that it does not exceed a maximum value. The temperatures reached by the hot water are pre-set so that one can use the hot water directly, without needing to mix it with cold water.

The maximum temperature that can be reached for hot water production is 60 °C, while the maximum water flow rate reaches up to 6 liters per minute. Indicatively, 38-42 °C degrees are standard for shower use.

• There is no need to wait for the water to heat up. As soon as we turn on the tap, hot water flows in a few seconds. The traditional water heater takes a few minutes, depending on its size.
• The hot water never runs out. As long as we have the tap open, we will have hot water.
