I am surprised by some comments... it is certainly not stable enough to support an adult as a helper step, but with a child (up to 5 years old, according to the instructions) on it, it is stable and safe. The material used (non-toxic and odorless HDPE plastic) makes it resistant to impacts and scratches, lighter compared to others, and it also cleans easily. The little one loves it, he is about to become a chef in the kitchen and we have our peace of mind and less whining. One star less purely due to price. With a little searching, you can find it significantly cheaper than the price at which it is sold here.

Really good purchase. At first, I was afraid that it wouldn't be stable because of the material. But in the end, it's perfect. I had initially bought a wooden one, but I returned it because it was of poor quality and had splinters. So I decided to take the risk and buy a plastic one. Luckily, I did.
