This book could be described as prophetic. Shortly after its publication, the far-right extremist Anders Behring Breivik murdered 77 people in Norway. Stieg Larsson himself uses the word "prediction" in what he presents to us here: Without prejudging anything, we can make a prediction. In the end, we will also have a massacre in Sweden, like that of Oklahoma City. All the ingredients are already there: hatred, fanaticism, love for violence, and a sectarian mentality.

Larsson's writings do not prophesy, but maintain a stance of vigilant anticipation for the new terror we will face if we do not act quickly. They criticize lifestyles and ideologies such as all forms of racism, fascism, neo-Nazism, xenophobia, opposition to multiculturalism, anti-Semitism, and populism in all its manifestations.

Larsson wrote, spoke, and fought persistently and resolutely for his beliefs, even facing threats for his opinions. Beyond his well-known fictional work, the Millennium trilogy, he left us with his positions on where such movements can lead. Thus, there will be no excuse if the citizen, who fights daily for a democratic society, does not crush the already hatched snake on its head...
