We make purchases through Skroutz. Well, this purchase is one of those that you feel like a tough guy! Very satisfied! The price is €36.5 for the chains. 8 pieces. I am attaching a photo where you can see the size of the elastic. They fit almost all sizes, from 175 thickness (which I forgot to take a photo of) to 255, they fit perfectly! They also fit very easily on steel rims. You can see the Citroen. It has a plastic "clamp" that fits perfectly on that specific steel rim. However, there are steel rims where the clamp does not fit. You can come up with a solution using a wire or a small stick or something else that you can think of, and simply pull the strap through the hole. It's not difficult! I also forgot to include this photo, I put it on a car with steel rims with narrow holes, I put it on by hand. You simply pass your hand behind the tire, get a bit dirty, but it goes in just as easily. If you haven't thought of making the solution in advance. The chain is thick. I didn't measure its thickness. But I don't want to know either! For my taste, it is thin. I would have liked it to be thicker. The chains should only be used when necessary! In cases of snow, ice, mud. Specifically, I have a Amarok 4x4 and I put on all-season tires. In the Florina prefecture where I live, snow is very common. Nevertheless, I have a 4x4 with not the best tire for snow. So I am on the edge in difficult conditions. Nevertheless, I may never use them! I also have a BMW X2, again with 4x4 and winter tires, which I imagine will only be used in extreme conditions. In these specific conditions and in both cases, the chain must be thick. To allow the car to move. You will put them on for a certain distance where you will encounter a problem and then you will take them off. In case you have summer tires and you come to our area and encounter snow and ice, you will wear them for a much longer time. Until you reach your destination. You will drive at 40 km/h and you will have a thick chain to easily grip the road. Because in the turns and descents of Vigla Pisoderiou, in case of ice on the road (something common), you cannot rely on a thin chain! The downside in this case is that your car will bounce, with all that entails! But you will feel safer, so you will be patient! I think the issue with the thickness has been solved... Tightening: Another important issue. The materials used seem decent. The strap is definitely durable. I don't think it can be easily cut. I can confidently say that it tightens satisfactorily. And the clamp also seems sturdy. It stretches very well. Nevertheless, I haven't tested it in practice to confirm. But again, I don't care if the chains move from their position along the way! If they move, they will end up on the rim. They will be immobilized there. So there won't be any issues along the way. They are supposed to be tightened enough and not hang on any point to cause a problem. The same thing will happen in reverse if necessary. In case you travel many kilometers with the chains, at some point you will stop to check if they need further tightening, if they have moved. We solved that too. Their price is obviously very high. It's just a piece of chains attached to a clamp with a small strap. They could have been priced at €25.
But we have to say that their price is perfect because you see that these plastic (cable ties) cost 25€ and you get them to throw them away!
The quality is good considering the market and the price. We are always talking about Chinese products at a low (for the standards) price!
They go on and off very quickly (unnecessary to be).
I consider it a very successful purchase. Because with 40€ you will feel comfortable to go anywhere in the winter!

Finally, the space they take up is limited compared to the classic chains we knew.
It is a small suitcase like a medium-sized women's bag. A little heavier (probably). So you throw it somewhere in the car and you are also compliant with the law!
    I hope I helped...

I have been searching for a while to see what I should buy. First of all, I couldn't decide between traditional chains or straps. The use of chains is well known to most people, I think, but I couldn't find any specific reviews or opinions about straps. These straps were at a very tempting price of 35+4€ for 8 pieces, while for chains, you have to spend a lot more to get something decent, so I decided to buy these.

They come in a bag, they have some weight but take up very little space. They are made of average quality materials, some plastic caps were not fastened, the strap seems sturdy, but I think the metals will rust at some point. Unfortunately, the chains are 15-16 mm, which is very thick. I expected them to be thick, but not that much. I didn't like them at all, they are meant for very rough use. There is a blue plastic on the strap that protects the wheel, but it is small. It should be at least 10 cm larger, but you can cut pieces from a bicycle inner tube and use them instead. There is a plastic hook included that helps to hold the strap, but if you have wheels with loose spokes that can fit your fingers, it is not necessary.

So, even though I didn't test them in real conditions, only for familiarization, they are very easy to install. We pass the strap behind the wheel in a gap between the spokes, hold it and pull it, then pass it through the buckle and tighten it. We make sure that the plastic covering the mechanism is placed evenly on the tire (inside-outside) and is at the rim-tire limit. They fit and tighten well on the tire, but on long trips, it might be necessary to check them after a certain distance.

They can be installed on the spot without moving the vehicle, even if the wheel is halfway buried in mud or snow. You don't need to use all 4 straps for a simple case. For a few meters, 3 or even 2 are enough, only if you plan to go through very difficult terrain, then use all of them.

They have a lot of vibration due to the thickness of the chain, which is a significant disadvantage that cannot be avoided. I would have preferred a chain with a maximum of 12mm thickness. Another disadvantage (of the description) and packaging is that it doesn't mention anywhere, even roughly, the types of tires that can be fitted. My tires are 195-55-16, and I would say they are at the lower limit. The straps are for this size and above, corresponding to chains from N7 and above. If you have a very low car, don't get them. In my case, they barely fit in the wheel wells, and they might touch in a pothole, but I don't know yet.

Attention... In the sets of straps that have been sent to customers recently, the buckles are not like the ones in the sales page photo. They are of a clearly inferior type since they do not have the integrated tightening lever. Instead, the tightening is done with a small plate (something like a key), which is not practical and can bend if forced. Equally difficult is the release, as it will take effort to turn the plate and release the axle that holds the strap. (Image 5)

4 stars due to their good price and ease of installation, but with problematic buckles and very thick chains.

    I hope I helped...

215 55 17 aluminum and fit easily. They definitely fit in larger dimensions as well. If properly installed, there is no damage to the rim and no chance of them coming off on their own. Speed up to 50 with snow. They are very easy to put on and if you put 4 on each wheel, you can go wherever you want. I put 3 on each wheel and did not feel any slipping in the car throughout the journey. It has vibrations in certain areas of the route with a little snow. I recommend them.

Although it does not describe which tire sizes it fits, something that the seller should do... as soon as I received them today, I tried one piece and luckily it fit. They are quite easy to install, the package includes a bag and gloves, as well as 2 plastic pieces that I don't know how to describe, which help you pull the strap from the inside to the outside of the rim because you can't put your hand through the gaps in the rim to pass it to the buckle and then tighten it. Of course, we don't put it at the valve point, the speed is up to 40km/h, and I think this type with straps does not fit on steel rims. It is also good to go 50-100 meters after installing them and tighten them again where needed. My tire size is 205/55/17. I hope they will perform well when needed.

They are free for what they do, they go in easier than anything, they don't take up space. I also tried them on a grand Cherokee while stuck in snow. and they went on in 5 minutes and got me out of the ice and despite the force they endured, they didn't break. Take it with closed eyes and you will forget all the other chains
