The "Memoirs" that Kolokotronis dictated to G. Tertsetis stand out as a treasure trove of speech, patriotism, observance, simplicity, liveliness, and pure popular wisdom. And yet the state ignores them. It never "thought" to include the thoughts and hearts of the youth by making them part of our school curriculum, as one of the essential readings. For this "omission," which has no excuse, the responsibility lies heavily on those who direct our education.
