I will compare them to the previous model, the HIERRO V6. While the V6 was a shoe that I would characterize as 50-50 for trail-road, the V7 becomes more "trail-like" since its sole is harder and its lugs are more spaced out, resulting in better grip on dirt, mud, etc. On asphalt, however, they make noise and are not comfortable.
Lastly, while I wore size 44 in the V6 and it fit perfectly, in the V7 I needed size 43.
Overall, it is a good shoe but not deserving of 5 stars as it has not impressed me.
