Description

Discover the Solar System with the AstroMaster 114EQ telescope by Celestron. You'll be ready for observation in just a few minutes. Its setup is easy and quick, requiring no additional tools. This telescope will provide you with bright, clear images of the Moon, planets, and star clusters for unforgettable night observations.

Characteristics

  • Manual German equatorial mount with setting circles for locating and tracking celestial objects
  • Aluminum tripod with adjustable height and accessory tray
  • Quick and easy setup without additional tools
  • The smartphone adapter allows you to attach your phone to the telescope to take photos and videos of observed objects
  • The adapter is compatible with any eyepiece with an outer diameter of 34 mm
  • The motor automatically tracks celestial objects as they move across the sky

Manual equatorial mount

The telescope mount features two micrometric adjustment cables that allow you to improve targeting accuracy on both the right ascension (RA) axis and the declination (DEC) axis.

Tracking motor

The observed object can remain within the field of view, provided that the tracking motor included in the package is mounted on the right ascension axis. Its installation is easy and will ensure the tracking of objects as they traverse the night sky from east to west. To keep the observed object within the field of view for a long period, you only need to occasionally adjust the declination (DEC), provided, of course, that the mount is aligned with the north celestial pole and the tracking motor is in operation. The motor can be used in locations in both the northern and southern hemispheres of the Earth and operates with a 9V battery. Thus, you won't have cables getting in your way. To change the tracking speed, simply turn the screw located under the motor's light indicator. Turn to the right to accelerate or to the left to decelerate. This allows you to adjust the speed according to the observed object. For example, the Moon and planets move faster in the sky compared to deep-sky objects.

Smartphone Adapter

Photograph celestial or terrestrial targets with your mobile phone, thanks to the smartphone adapter that comes with your telescope. It is compatible with any mobile phone and any eyepiece with an outer diameter of 34 mm. The magnification provided by the eyepiece will give you the opportunity to take impressive photos of the Moon and planets. Its installation is easy. Your smartphone will be held securely, thanks to the adjustment screw that the adapter has. Keep in mind that bulky smartphone cases should be removed so that your device fits into the adapter.
