The black border covers the entire surface of the screen, including the edges. It is 5D, which means it has undergone special processing to acquire curved edges that cover the entire surface of the mobile phone screen.     I bought this specific screen protector for the Redmi Note 11S. After 2-3 days, and without dropping the device, the screen protector broke in 2 places. 2 clean cracks from the bottom left part of the screen to approximately the middle height of it, in the shape of a rainbow (curved, that is). So, I have the feeling that because the screen protector was "difficult" to install (there was air trapped in the bottom right side), and pressure was applied to the screen protector with the finger to remove the air (nothing different from what happened with other screen protectors I have installed), maybe that stressed it. However, if that was the case, it would have broken at that moment, not a few days later. Therefore, I assume that this specific screen protector is not suitable for this specific phone, despite what the company claims! Personal opinion: Do not choose it for the Redmi Note 11S!
