The phone is excellent. It is quite fast.
It needed a slightly longer battery life.
Also, the protective screen membrane should have been of different quality because it attracts dust to a great extent.
(I recommend to Samsung not to use silicone for their cases because you need to have a cloth with you to clean it up.)
Very good mobile phone, very good camera, fast and nice image. However, it has a problem as it appears from several reviews which is a bit crucial. The screen breaks. And since so many people have experienced it, Samsung should take responsibility to fix it for free. It should be covered by the warranty as it should. There is no reason to offer a warranty if you don't cover your own mistakes. I got it as a gift for my wife after trying to convince her for 10 days to switch from iPhone and finally, after 8 months, the screen broke. And Samsung asks for 370 euros. An 800 euro mobile phone is going to waste. Unfortunately, the latest reviews were not available when I bought it and I made a mistake.
Beautiful phone, wonderful photos, fast, super galaxy services, etc, etc, but the screen will definitely break. In the first year, something broke on the right side of the hinge. Samsung covered it for me because the phone had no impact, but as a person, I am extremely careful and I keep my phones for at least 4 years. It had never fallen or anything like that. The screen, in other words, broke due to normal wear and tear...and it was covered by the warranty in the first year. But what about when it breaks again? Find something non-foldable in my opinion. No matter how beautiful and perfect it is, it is quite expensive to last only 2 years.
I had this particular product for about 2 years until yesterday morning when I woke up and tried to open it. It made a cracking sound and then another one, and the hinge in the middle got bent and it wouldn't fully open, it stayed folded at 90 degrees.
Within the warranty period, I went to the authorized Samsung service and they told me that it has some marks around the edges, but nothing that indicates it can't be repaired under warranty. I left it there and on the same day they called me and said that Samsung refused to repair it due to impact damage!!! What impact damage!!! I didn't hit it! I spoke with Samsung and got the same response... The repair cost? 360 euros... STAY AWAY FROM SAMSUNG. Such scammers who have designed the warranty in a way that only covers damage that magically happens without you being at fault, but the phone itself. Oh, and heaven forbid if the phone has scratches or wear around the screen from normal daily use. To get it fixed, you apparently shouldn't use it at all, but rather have it displayed in a stand in your living room. WASTED MONEY.
We bought 2 of these 1.5 years ago and both broke in the same way that everything breaks + the screen folding issue, and even though they were under warranty, the technicians told us it was our fault. First and last time for Samsung
I have had the Flip 4 for almost a year now (since August 2023). As far as the issues that are being reported, I have not experienced any and I open/close it many times a day (~40 times +). Personally, however, I recommend buying the Flip 5 instead of the 4, as it has shown a real improvement in terms of the back screen. Otherwise, performance in real life is the same!
I have had this mobile phone for 8 months and one day it developed a line where it opens and closes. I am still crying over the money I spent, do not buy it
I purchased the 256GB model for €1100. Suddenly, 17 months later, it developed a line at the folding point, then half of the screen stopped responding and eventually the whole screen turned black. Of course, they asked for €400+ to replace the screen as it is not covered by the two-year warranty from the dealership. It has never been dropped, without any impact, without even the slightest scratch! UNACCEPTABLE! I wonder why I didn't realize it when I extended the warranty at a well-known chain of stores (+€55) for screen breakage due to dropping, which is valid for the first year! Coincidence? I should have been more careful...
I just got my hands on this particular mobile phone as a gift, used. I can say that it is quite good in everything, except for its battery. The mobile phone I had before was the RealMe 7pro, which at the price of 250€ I bought it was worth it and did exactly the same as the flip 4. The big difference is in the battery, the RealMe held up heavy data usage and GPS simultaneously, while the flip 4 dies on its own. Charging is also frustratingly slow even with a 65w charger.
Overall, I would not recommend Samsung. Especially with the prices they have. Good mobile phone but considering the negatives, this particular phone charges the design more than the actual phone. I just hope it doesn't experience what I read from other reviews.
The worst thing, stay away from this product. The screen inflated for no reason at the point where the hinge folds and they don't accept it for repair. Never buying from Samsung again!!
The mobile phone was purchased from a well-known store for electrical appliances, etc. With warranties, etc. Suddenly one day it starts to darken on the connection that the flip has and by the end of the day it has completely blackened. We send it through the store and they tell us that the screen has been damaged, even though the phone has not been dropped once and the screen is not broken. It is out of warranty and costs 480€. You are shameful. Unacceptable. Never again. Since you know about the screen problem, at least it should be covered by the warranty.
Within 7 months, the screen had a problem twice. Burnt pixels. The first time they replaced it, the second time Samsung told me that there are some impacts and it is not covered. It is obvious that these phones have issues and they try to exclude them from warranty, by any means. The impacts were 2 superficial scratches on the back, unrelated to the screen. The battery is also bad. When I changed the screen the first time, they also changed the battery without my request. The second time I told them that I had worse issues than the first time, they said that these replacements have a 1-year warranty. SAMSUNG service is UNACCEPTABLE
I spent 750€, a whole month's salary, to buy a SAMSUNG mobile phone through Skroutz from the Baboo store. THEY ARE ALL UNACCEPTABLE.
It broke within 6 months of folding. And after a lot of effort, they agreed to take it for inspection, but after leaving me without a phone for a month, they told me that the warranty does not cover it because it was misused, and they want 350€ to fix it. There are no scratches or dents. And after refusing to fix it, they sent it back to me in worse condition. They cut off the protruding part, causing it to open even more. The photos show before and after. The box they sent it back in has dents. When I received it for the first time, it was just in a bag without any protection, only with its case. No one can guarantee that it was damaged during transit and later caused a problem. Everyone advised me to buy an iPhone with this much money because of the company's warranty... You are unacceptable and laughable. Don't fool people that there is a warranty, better say it's a surprise if you get one.

With a small drop with its case, which is so bulky that it doesn't charge wirelessly, the screen broke and the worst part is that Samsung told me that it is not covered by the warranty because it has a hit on the hinge that it has to open and close. iPhone again, iPhone!! Stay away from Samsung not only because of the problem it has but also because of the worst support EVER!!!
The most useless phone I bought. A gift for my wife, after a successful journey with Galaxy S8, S9+, S20+. From the first day in Samsung cases worth 40 euros. In the first 3 months, the screen broke without any drop, so suddenly one day it had a line in the middle and that was the end. I took it to Smartec, it was changed under warranty and everything was fine. I considered it a problematic product and didn't pay much attention. After 3 months, the same thing happened again. This time, however, Samsung did not accept the warranty request "due to damage". The damage is a scratch on the upper left part of the hinge. So the manufacturer asks me to pay 510 euros for a defective product, pretending that it's my fault that the screen broke due to damage, which of course it doesn't know how it happened and can't support. It's a shame that I paid 1300 euros for a phone and a shame that I showed trust in a manufacturing company that tested its product before offering it to the end consumer. I will simply say: STAY AWAY FROM FLIP/FOLD PHONES IF YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO USE IT AND NOT JUST HAVE IT WITH CRYSTAL GLASSES.
Owner of a flip 4 with burnt pixels on its main screen, purchased 6 months ago. I sent it to Samsung Greece's service and they refused to replace it. After doing some research, many owners of the same phone have the same problem as me and are facing the same treatment from Samsung. Stay away from these phones because they don't have screen insurance. I'm sorry because after choosing to switch from iPhone to Samsung, they showed me how small of a company they are in terms of customer service and how little they respect their consumers' money
Owner for 7 months as soon as I got out of my car it fell out of my pocket, of course in a case, and the hinge broke as soon as I tried to open it, the screen came off because the hinge was broken, not at all a sturdy device for its price, they ask me for 410 euros for the screen and 59 euros for the hinges, without the labor costs. I bought the phone for 510 euros without VAT. Many years as a Samsung user with flagship models, but they no longer meet my expectations. I said I will never buy again, as soon as I switched to the iPhone 14 Pro, I understood what it means to have a reliable phone
After 5-6 months of use, the hinge stops opening properly. The same problem occurred in the previous model, and it is not only me, but a general issue. They don't even mention hinge replacement in the warranty, they just want 400€
Very good phone. I switched from iPhone and it's definitely worth it. It takes a little while to get used to it, but it's great. The camera quality is not at all like the iPhone's, but it's good. I dropped it in the pool with the phone in my pocket and nothing happened, I wouldn't recommend it but accidents happen (just don't take it underwater and everything will be fine). You can see the curve in the middle of the screen (if the sun is directly above it, if you have it folded and you see ticks, if you place it horizontally at eye level), I won't lie, but you don't really care if you have a foldable phone. The face recognition doesn't work perfectly, but it also has fingerprint recognition so you don't really mind. The battery is excellent. The small screen next to the cameras is very convenient. The only complaint is that when you dismiss a notification, the red badge with the number above the app icon also disappears, but I think that's generally a Samsung thing and not specific to this one. I remain a loyal iPhone user but such a change is worth it.
A very beautiful phone with an impressive screen and upgraded battery from the z flip3!! I got it in Graphite, a very nice color!!! With the snap dragon g1 plus, it makes it very powerful in competition!!
Owner of this particular mobile for 3 months now. I didn't want to rush and give a review on the hype. It was a forced purchase as the s7 edge gave up after 5 years. I wanted something different from the usual. And indeed, what they say is true. Its look attracts attention. You leave it at the cafe and they ask you what it is, etc. It has happened to me 3 times. I don't use the camera heavily, but the photos I take have great quality. Definitely not professional. The mobile is sleek, I don't play games so I can't comment on temperatures. If I could, I would wait for the 5 in the summer. But still, I would go for a flip or fold with my eyes closed. The battery is a negative, but the charging is extremely fast and now with power banks, the issue is not a big concern. Also, if you wanted perfection, you would have to spend 2 thousand with today's standards. You will have to sacrifice something. Anyway, it is a very unique mobile and easily loved. Finally, the folding line, you won't even remember it after the first 10 minutes of using the mobile for the first time. I would easily buy it again! Tip, add Dolby sound. You won't believe the amazing speakers it has.
I have it for about 1 month and I bought it because I was going on a trip abroad and I wanted a compact phone that takes nice photos and videos! I am not disappointed at all!
It is excellent. However, the back part that opens and closes in order to open the phone is excessively fragile. In just three months of regular use with an exceptional case, it has broken twice. This is significant and you can learn how delicate it is the hard way because to repair it, it costs 400 euros like I experienced. Other than that, the phone has served me well. If it is not repaired, then the screen will darken in the middle, and it will not open completely. The more you try to open it, the more the screen will darken. That is why I have chosen to donate it and purchase the excellent Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Update on 14/6/2024: The screen has completely blacked out, making it unusable.
Compared to other users, I may have been lucky to have kept it for a year and a half.

Update on 11/6/2024: I have had the phone for a year and a half now.
Suddenly, the screen stopped working properly, not responding to touch and displaying a black screen.
Even though I am within the warranty period, Samsung politely informed me that the damage was likely due to misuse of the device and is not covered, but will be charged for, as others have mentioned.
I have taken extra care of the phone (no drops, gently opening and closing, no pressure, never thrown in a bag, basically not letting anyone else touch it), and I don't understand why it is not covered by the warranty. Obviously, I cannot afford to pay for the repair as it would cost as much as buying a new phone.
I deduct one star from the review for Samsung's technical support.
I will continue using it until it completely stops working, for as long as it lasts.
It's really a shame because besides the fact that it was quite expensive, I really liked it.
I might stick with Samsung, but not the Flip model again.

Coming from the S20 FE, I switched to the Z Flip 4 (after researching and comparing their features) primarily because of its appearance, as it is a gem of a device. Additionally, as a child of the 90s, I have always been fascinated by flip phones. I also found it on sale for a hundred euros less.
Its camera pleasantly surprised me (compared to the FE, obviously it doesn't have the same resolution as the S series phones), producing clear and beautiful photos.
The selfie camera is inferior to the FE, but that's a minor detail.
The speaker is crystal clear, and the calls are excellent (if not better than the FE, which had occasional issues).
The screen is equally beautiful as the FE, with great resolution and vibrant colors.
The battery is a bit small (which I knew before purchasing), but for my exclusive use of social media and calls, it has worked positively for me as I now use the mini touch screen to check notifications and Bluetooth earphones for calls without opening the phone. I also only need to charge it every 2-3 days, considering my usage.
The side fingerprint sensor works perfectly, unlike the unacceptable sensitivity of the FE.
It is compact, fits in any pocket, not bulky, and feels great in the hand when held.
Overall, once you get used to it, it's hard to go back to a traditional smartphone.
The device is made of recycled plastic, so screen protectors and a protective case are necessary.
I wouldn't say it's suitable for rough use, keeping keys in the same pocket, throwing it in a bag, frequent opening and closing, or drops. It's a delicate device, sturdy but delicate.
In general, I am very satisfied with this device, and it hasn't shown any issues after 5 months of use.
So I bought it at the end of March.
I inserted an esim and it accepted it (vodafone).
I won't lie, my soul trembles when I fold it, not because it has any issues, quite the opposite. But many people say that some units were defective. I got it in gold. Let me tell you... a jewel... simply a jewel. In terms of speed, it goes without saying that it doesn't lag, of course. I even lost faith in it during the first set up when it came out of the box. It has both 5G and NFC, fast charging, a truly beautiful AMOLED screen. However, its speaker is good but it doesn't have as much volume as the Galaxy A32 that I had bought 2 years ago. I would like a bit more volume. I wouldn't recommend a case. The phone heats up easily. If you put a silicone case, I'm afraid the screen will suffer from the high temperature. Personally, I prefer it to fall and go for repair on the back glass rather than the screen getting damaged. I always fold it in half when I'm not using it, except for when it's charging, then I keep it open. It also has an equalizer for sound, Dolby Atmos sound, and overall good sound quality with headphones. Overall, it requires attention. Also, be careful in the summer with sand on the beach. If sand gets in, it's a big problem. It will need service. It is waterproof (in tap water). Its battery should have a longer life, it needs to be charged during the day. To cut it short, it requires attention... and overall, as a device, it catches people's attention no matter what.

The phone continues to work normally, I haven't encountered any issues. Because there seems to be a problem with the "curve" area, that it loosens over time and breaks for some people, I'll tell you the following: The phone is not a Motorola from 2005 that we need to fold forcefully as if nothing will happen. Guys, you don't need to hit both sides of the screen with force to hear the aluminum. So, close it gently. Not forcefully. Two acquaintances of mine who have it did that and took it to the service. Also, cases create a little issue in that specific area, I repeat, don't use cases, prefer it to fall without a case. Always fold it when we're outside so that if it falls, the screen won't get damaged.

Well, SHOCK... it has slipped from my hands 3 times.
The first 2 times it fell on tiles, the third time it fell on the asphalt of the road as I was walking. It has a barely noticeable scratch on the right side... small, don't imagine it big. But it can withstand it. But it requires attention!! And after all this, I need xanax
In the 25 years that I have had mobile phones, this is by far the worst one I have ever bought, regardless of the price.
From the first day, the speaker had issues, so I took it back to the store where I bought it for repair or replacement, but they did nothing. Along the way, I noticed that the battery was draining incredibly fast without any significant use. The climax was when the screen cracked and turned black without any impact. The store told me that it was obviously pressure damage and that Samsung does not cover such damages. 854 euros wasted on this piece of junk!!! Stay away!
Look, the warranty should cover the flip4 that we paid 800 euros for, and the screen and the hinge suddenly broke on their own, and you make excuses. At least let us keep it for 2 years because the only sure thing is that it will break again. You are unacceptable there at Samsung since you know it is faulty, take responsibility. We didn't buy a Xiaomi for 100 euros. Update: after a year, the screen did indeed break without any impact, but the positive thing is that Samsung's service replaced the screen in one day at no extra cost. Everything is perfect except for the battery. I would like it to last longer or at least have something changed in the operating system because it drains a lot of battery even when it is closed. Other than that, it is the best phone I have ever bought, even if the battery is not good, it is worth it!
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 is easily, in my opinion, one of the best phones on the market right now. I took the leap and I am truly amazed at how amazing this phone is. As a previous owner of the new iPhone, I have to say that it's time for Apple to start thinking of new ideas because the Z Flip is the phone of the future.
So, I've had the Flip for almost a month now. It fits everywhere, it's very stylish, and when the screen opens, it's bigger than the iPhone Pro Max, so no problem for movies and videos on this phone. The camera, regardless of the specs, surprised me. It can be compared to the iPhone and in some cases, it surpasses it.
The selfie camera is not that great, but you can take a photo with the rear camera and see yourself on the small screen.
It also has countless ways to "decorate" your phone. Want smaller icons? You got it. Want bigger ones because you can't see? You got that too. Want to put a moving photo on the small screen of the phone? It can be done!
For those who are still considering it...just do it!
Amazing phone, awesome design and build quality, the rest is like a good Samsung phone, plus Android 13 makes the difference from other large-sized phones.
Excellent mobile, the previous one I had was an iPhone 11 and when I compare it to this one, I don't know why I had an iPhone. The screen quality is impressive. The only negative aspect is the battery
Owner here for a month, it is an excellent mobile phone in many aspects. In the positives:
- Of course, the main advantage is the form of the mobile. Once you get used to the folding, it's hard to go back to the classic brick phones.
- The cameras. Although they don't have anything special in terms of numbers, the photos are excellent.
- Speed and responsiveness. Exceptional.
- Battery. The battery is not excellent, but it is at least sufficient. For an average user, it easily lasts a day. With heavy usage, I will give it a charge somewhere between 18:00 and 20:00, but the fact that it reaches that point with the usage I do, considering the size of its battery, is impressive.
In the negatives:
- Samsung... Bloatware, Bixby, it doesn't have all the smart features of Pixel, One UI, the usual... I wish I could have the software of Pixel 7 on this phone. However, between the two, I still choose the Flip 4.
- Android. You say goodbye to Handoff Continuity, iMessage, FaceTime, seamless connection to all airpods devices, and everything that can make your work easy and fast.
So, for now, we are talking about an excellent Android mobile, very nice for leisure time, but the iPhone in the other pocket remains the only way to do serious work. For those who would choose Android anyway, I consider it excellent with perhaps the only alternative being the Pixel 7, depending on whether you choose the excellent form factor or settle for the classic bulky Google brick but have a software experience and cameras years ahead of the Flip.
