What can I say about this game, really. I started the game and was impressed by the beautiful visuals and art direction. Perhaps that's the only positive thing that stuck with me after finishing it. Set in Japan's Edo Period, it has one of the best depictions of the Japanese underworld. Everything is done in black and white to resemble an Akira Kurosawa film. The sound is also exceptional and brings life to every scene, especially when combined with a good pair of headphones, making you feel like you're truly there.

The story is alright and offers multiple endings that increase the replay value. However, as the game progressed, the combat started to bother me more and more. It felt shallow with limited options for battle, and as the game went on, it put me in increasingly frustrating encounters. The situation improves as the game progresses and you unlock new combos and moves that are useful.

It was annoying at times but overall a positive experience UNTIL THE LAST MISSION. Just when I had found some moves for quick enemy takedowns and my health had increased enough to withstand the big battles it threw at me, in the last mission, for some reason, the game decided to TAKE AWAY EVERYTHING and reset me to the level I was in the 3rd MISSION!!!

From a story perspective, it makes sense, but NOT from a gameplay perspective because ALL the enemy encounters are designed for the level you will be at the end of the game. Without access to my combos, I had to play the way I did in the 3rd mission, which made it very difficult.

After a long time and a lot of frustration, I reached the final boss, which killed me with one hit and had multiple forms. I must have tried at least 30 times to defeat it in order to literally do a No Hit Run because my health was too low for the final fight.

And after finally defeating it, the game gave me THE WRONG ENDING. Even though I clearly chose the Duty Ending, for some reason, the game gave me the Love Ending.

And the cherry on top? I didn't receive a trophy for completing the game. I later found out that it's a bug that hasn't been fixed (and won't be, as the game was released 2 years ago) and it happens to many players, so you also have a high chance of having a similar experience.

Luckily, I played it through PS Plus because I would have regretted spending my money, just like I regretted spending my time.

Let me start by saying that I had no intention of getting involved with the game. I received it for free through ps plus. And yet it turned out that not only is it not worth its money, but it is a work of art. For those who want something reminiscent of ghost of Tsushima but even more realistic in battles and scenery. Those who have seen movies by Kurosawa, don't look elsewhere. This is the game for you. The plot is "simple" until certain points that leave you speechless. We are talking about a game that, due to its production budget, is considered indie, but if a lot of money had been invested, we would be talking about a title superior to sekiro and ghost of Tsushima. Realism, immersion, and a story that will stay with you. Have fun and I hope you try it. It's worth every euro.
