Description

Manufactured with 7nm architecture, the 6 cores of the processor enhance multitasking. AMD SenseMI technology learns and adapts to your daily routine to offer you the true performance of 4 cores in whatever you do. Equipped with an unlocked multiplier, it allows you to push its performance to the limit, increasing the clock speed from 3.6GHz to 4.2GHz.

The processor does not have an integrated graphics card. This means that to have video output, you will need to use an additional discrete graphics card (discrete GPU), which will connect to the system's motherboard via the appropriate slot, such as PCIe (PCI Express).

AMD GameCache

More On-Chip Memory for Gaming Acceleration

Up to twice the cache of previous generations, GameCache is designed to reduce memory latency for higher frame rates in top titles.

Precision Boost 2

Boost performance when you need it

AMD Ryzen processors monitor power consumption and temperature. The processor can increase clock speeds in precise 25 MHz steps for any application without interrupting work.

AMD StoreMI Technology

Software that combines the speed of SSD with the capacity of HDD. With Store MI, the two independent storage media create a single drive that, with the intelligent management of the software, gives us incredible advantages resulting in cost savings.

If you have an AMD X399 series chipset, 400 series, or 500 series, you can download AMD StoreMI software for free.

AMD Ryzen Master Utility

The processors are unlocked from the factory so you can customize yours to your needs. The Ryzen Master program comes to assist in setting up the processor with all the options you need.

It features a basic menu, an advanced menu, and live monitoring of the processor's system.

SenseMI Technology

AMD's SenseMI technology is a set of learning and adaptation features that help the AMD Ryzen processor adjust its performance to you and your applications thanks to machine intelligence (MI).

AMD Ryzen™ 3000

The AMD Ryzen™ 3000 are the world's first processors to support the PCI Express 4.0 (PCIe 4.0) standard, as well as compatibility with AMD's new X570 chipset, offering greater communication bandwidth and unmatched performance with the most advanced motherboards, graphics cards, and storage devices available on the market. They are also compatible with older generations of motherboards, providing new capabilities and value to your investment.

AMD Wraith Stealth Cooler

The AMD Wraith Stealth Cooler included in the package is cool, quiet, and low-profile.

Great processor for low-end computers. I bought it to build a second computer for basic use and some gaming, it doesn't hesitate at all.

VFM processor, I paired it with a 6650 graphics card for streaming, very good result and with a good cooler, consistently 50-59 temps

I got it at the price of 61 euros, even more value for money compared to the 5600 which is twice the price. Great improvement especially noticeable in applications and games.

Although I bought it at a scandalous price (62€), I have it in my second machine along with an RX 580... in games, it's OK, not perfect, but it's decent to good (in 2023)... it was released in 2019, so it's been a while since its peak! If you find it at a price close to or slightly lower than 70€, it's a good investment for another 2-3 years... everything still plays at a satisfactory level and in combination with fast memory (over 3000 Mhz) DDR4, it performs well... it has a small margin for overclocking (but it's not necessary anyway), otherwise look for the X versions of the corresponding processors! It's a chip that you can put on a basic motherboard and it will perform at its maximum because it's efficient and doesn't increase temperature too much - so it's a foundation for a balanced budget gaming system!

With this money, you can't have any complaints about the performance of this processor, it's a beast on its own. I already have two PCs with this CPU.

I bought it for €134, thinking that I got it at a bargain price due to the Zen 2 clearance, but now I see that it has dropped even further. At its current price of around €85, it's even more worth it, and wherever it's still available, look for it.

It's not much different from the newer Zen 3 5600 as it also has 32MB L3 Cache.

It performs very well in games, especially at 60fps, which is what an average user plays. It handles other everyday tasks such as browsing without any problems or lag. It's great!

It was installed today on a Gigabyte Aorus X470 Ultra Gaming, replacing a Ryzen 5 1600. It was paired with the Arctic MX-4 2019 Edition and I have to say that it is quite stable in its performance, it doesn't increase temperature almost at all. The previous one used to reach temperatures of 65-70 degrees, while now with the same applications and games running, it didn't go above 55 degrees. So far, my system is very stable and it also gave a boost to the RAM, as it provided a bit more speed than their nominal speed.
06/10/2023 I was expecting it to handle the summer with increased temperatures, and the processor really delivered. It performed at its maximum capacity with applications and gaming, with temperatures not exceeding 65 degrees even during heatwaves.

After almost 2 years of use, I am writing my review. It's a gaming PC with a Freezer 33 eSports cooler that keeps it always cool (only in the summer it goes up to 50 degrees which is a funny temperature for a CPU), an MX410 case, and an RTX 2060 GPU. The PC plays everything on a full HD monitor with very good resolution/fps. Buy the version without a cooler because the factory one is not good. The 3600 at the price it is now (under 90 euros) is a steal.

On the plus side, it is supported by all AM4 motherboards from old A320 (with a BIOS update) to X570.

A very good processor, combine it with a good cooler and you will never be disappointed. This beast simply sleeps in whatever you make it run. Also, the package shown below is included.

I have had it for 20 months, purchased for €175. Completely satisfied, since it threw away the "something-like-a-cooler" that accompanied it. It works without complaining, even at almost full load, on a 24-hour basis.
I never imagined recommending a three-year-old CPU for purchase, but at €115 today, packaged without a cooler... with my eyes closed, there is no chance you will find something better for this money.

A very powerful processor from AMD. Amazing for gaming with great performance, excellent for multitasking and very fast even though I have "slow memory" at only 2400MHz, I can say that the beast (Ryzen) doesn't even notice it! I have also tried rendering in DaVinci Resolve and it's very fast there too. I recommend pairing it with a good motherboard and a good air/water cooler, as well as a fast NVMe SSD and your machine will be flying!

The only problem I have is with temperatures... The maximum the Ryzen 5 3600 can handle is 95C. When I stress test my CPU, even though I have an Arctic Freezer eSports Duo, the processor reaches 92-93 degrees. This worries me quite a bit because I have a good cooler, good thermal paste (Arctic MX4), and the installation was done correctly (even twice to make sure I didn't do anything wrong the first time!). I have read that other users have this problem too and I believe that I will find a solution somehow. I will update if I fix my problem.

Very good value for money. The only negative is that it didn't come in its original packaging, even though it was not used, probably just from a foreign mass merchant. Otherwise, it runs as expected.

    Quite good for gaming
But with the prices that have skyrocketed, it's better to get an Intel i5 10400f with a more expensive motherboard.

Very satisfied with its performance and operation. In the rendering I tested, its time was very good (judging intuitively because the previous processor was an old quad-core Xeon) and I am satisfied. Overall, the system runs smoothly without showing signs of fatigue. I can have Civilization, Chrome, Viber, Teams, and Zoom open at the same time (of course with active connections, not standby) without giving me any signs of overload or extreme temperature increase.

I don't use liquid cooling but a Hyper 212 Evo with two Arctic fans on its heatsink. My temperatures range from 32 to 70C under heavy load. I never saw it go above 72.

Flawless processor. Perfect for gaming, it runs everything without any issues. Temperatures range from 25 to 52 degrees (I haven't measured higher even in difficult games), but I use an aftermarket cooler. I went straight for the tray version because I heard everywhere that temperatures rise due to the poor stock cooler that Ryzen has, so I got the Arctic 34 eSports Duo from the beginning. (Which I highly recommend)
