The Sky Trip ST80 telescope, with the signature of Discovery Channel, is accompanied by the colorful introductory book "The Void That Is Not Empty" and has everything an aspiring astronomer dreams of! Such a small refracting telescope is ideal for the first contact of a beginner with the world of space, as well as for ground observations on nature trips, and for beginner-level astrophotography.

The informative book "The Empty that is not Empty" offers the reader all the basic knowledge about stargazing. The Sky Trip ST80 telescope is ideal for observing the Moon, the planets of the Solar System, as well as terrestrial targets. With a maximum useful magnification of 160x, it is the most powerful model in the Discovery Sky Trip telescope series and in a dark sky, it can reveal bright objects of the deep sky, such as nebulae and distant galaxies.

Altazimuth Mount

The handling of this telescope is easy, thanks to its simple altazimuth support that allows two movements of the optical tube: up-down (for height adjustment) and right-left (for azimuth adjustment).

The package includes a set of accessories: Barlow lens, eyepieces, finder, and diagonal prism. Additionally, the telescope comes with a smartphone adapter for capturing photos and videos. You can experiment by observing various celestial bodies, taking pictures, and sharing them with your friends. Furthermore, for easier orientation, the optical tube has a built-in compass.

The main advantage of this specific telescope is its short optical tube, which is almost half the length compared to similar models. Additionally, its setup and targeting are quick and easy, making it an ideal choice for your outdoor trips. The telescope, along with all its accessories, is stored in a bag (included) for convenient and safe transportation. Finally, the aluminum tripod is adjustable in height and features a tray for placing various accessories.

This review is about a variation of the product

In the instructions, it does not say that you need to adjust the diopter during the day in order for it to work at night, and most importantly, the tripod is small and not convenient at all. Get a telescope with a regular-sized tripod.
