The owner of a Victorian mansion, Richard Abernethy, dies suddenly, and his sister, Cora, is convinced that it was murder… When she is brutally murdered with an axe, her strange statement the previous day suddenly takes on enormous significance. At the reading of Richard's will, they heard Cora say: "Nevertheless, the matter was nicely hushed up… But, he was murdered, wasn't he?" Are the deaths of the two siblings merely tragic coincidences?
