Today, as our love has diminished because it has cooled from our sins and we all suffer, these Ascetics are a ray of sunshine in the gloom, a warmth in the cold, a hope for a desperate people who seek their lost path and purpose, which is none other than our Lord Jesus Christ. With their simplicity, they found the way that leads to eternal life and show it to us through their virtuous lives, so that we may follow them.

This present Volume III of "Ascetics in the World" contains twenty-four biographies; eight of the biographees were married priests, nine were simple and illiterate women, and the remaining seven were men.
May we have their blessing and be deemed worthy to love God as they did, and to also make our faith a living experience. Amen.
