This WD40 product is very good for cleaning circuit boards, contacts, switches, sockets, bulbs, and generally electrical surfaces and components! Used on a Razer Mouse externally on the scroll wheel without needing to open it because the movement was not smooth at all and it was sticking (it actually needed internal cleaning). After 2 hours, the problem slowly started to resolve and was fixed. The next day it was 100% like new.
Tested externally for the 2nd time on Razer headphones on the volume potentiometer that is on the headphones. The problem was restored (not completely since it also needed opening). Applied it to a volume pad of Logitech on 2.1 speakers. The scratching on the power button, bass potentiometer, and volume stopped.

I used it on gaming controllers (PS4 & Nacon pro Evolution), and it did a great job. The truth is that it can "revive" most controllers that we think are useless. Try spraying it without opening them first, but if you don't get results, you may need to open them. I also used it on an optical mouse, unfortunately without taking into account the advice from here and from the internet. Also, on a small oven that I sprayed to make a switch work better (I also sprayed through the holes it has in its electrical parts), the oven no longer works. When I turn on the switch, it trips the main circuit of the house even after 2 days.

I used it to clean the potentiometers (volume, balance, etc.) on a vintage HiFi amplifier that had been stored in a humid environment for almost 5 years.
Especially the volume didn't make good contact at all, the sound was scratchy, dull, etc. After spraying and shaking it back and forth with my hand (and repeating the process a few times), all the potentiometers returned to 100%. They became smoother, the scratchy sound completely disappeared, no more issues.
I sprayed it directly onto the potentiometer (I opened the amplifier casing), without needing to open the potentiometer casing itself. Externally, from some openings it has.

It is a very good contact spray that does not leave any oil. However, be careful. It is not non-conductive, as stated on the bottle. I sprayed a switch on my extractor fan that was not making good contact. I had not turned off the power through the automatic switch (as the extractor fan does not have a plug) and obviously something short-circuited, causing a little smoke and electrical arcs for several seconds until the oil dried up. Fortunately, no damage was done and in fact, the contact improved even though I sprayed the speed selector switch from above without opening it up. So, we should spray when there is no power and not just when the device is turned off, as the oil is conductive. We should wait a few seconds or minutes for it to evaporate and then supply power.
It also solved the problem with the terminals of my multimeter. They had become dull over the years (slight oxidation) as they were not gold-plated. During the conductivity test of the multimeter, it made a very faint beep and my voltage measurements were inconsistent. I tried anti-corrosion oil, but the problem remained. However, with the electrical contact spray, the problem was solved. It must somehow remove the thin layer of oxidation or make it more conductive.
