Everything seemed to be Orwell's prophecies. The official authorities and the peculiar leader of the country spoke, despite the Food Bulletin, of a "multifaceted" developed society.

The book records the survival hunt of a group of friends. The world described is real. The perception that a society would be created where human happiness would be eternal - a perception based on the theories of the previous two centuries - definitively collapsed, proving that no certainty can lead to the happiness of all people.
