Slippery Elm (Ulmus fulva) or elm, also known as Red Elm, Moose Elm, or Indian Elm, is a small tree that grows primarily in North America. It is a traditional herbal medicine, initially used by the indigenous people of North America and the early settlers as a survival food during tough times.

Benefits

The Slippery Elm contains a substance that, when mixed with water, turns into a smooth gel. This form coats and soothes the stomach and intestines. 

It also contains antioxidants that help relieve inflammatory conditions of the intestine. 

Additionally, it causes reflex stimulation of the nerve endings in the gastrointestinal tract, which leads to increased mucus secretion. The increased mucus production can protect the gastrointestinal tract from ulcers and excess acidity.

Dosage

2 capsules 1-3 times a day.
